  1. Devils from the east, and Sharks from the west was always my two favorite teams in NHL... So I was amazed decade ago, when Zubrus became a Devil, and now I just can't believe, he signed with the Sharks It is so cool.. Maybe I was not a biggest poster in this forum, but always lurked, folowed and sometimes posted here. I was a bit angry at the Devils for the timing they waived Zubie, because it should have been done before july. So he was put in a bad situation finding a new team. From now, all my attention goes to the Sharks. Maybe it is my last post here, but still, I wish all the best to my Devils, and keep following them..
  2. I watch KHL everyday, so Renat Mamashev is well known for me. He played for "Neftekhimik" Nizhnekamsk. Mamashev is an offensive-minded D and, if I remember correctly, was ranked 1st in KHL by points among defenseman (2012-2013 season). After great season he changed the team and had some problems with his new coach, after missing games he returned to Nizhnekamsk, but that season was ruined for him already. Actually I like him, so I'm glad he is in the camp with the Devils.
  3. So, Championship is over.. My dream to see Zubrus playing live came true, Lithuania won a bronze medal, Zubrus became a best forward of the championship (9pts in 5 games) and only good memories will remain. Here's the interview with Dainius after the event: http://www.iihf.com/competition/386/news/news-singleview/?tx_ttnews%5Btt_news%5D=8747&cHash=bc7a805dd82555077728035959a6b38d And here are some photos after the last game, and award ceremony: http://www.delfi.lt/sportas/kitos-sporto-sakos/d-zubrus-nezinau-kodel-bet-tokio-jausmo-dar-nebuvau-patyres.d?id=64639429#dgslt-149522:5226071
  4. There's one positive thing about Devils not being in the playoffs for me personally - my dream to see Zubrus playing live will come true. He will represent his country in the 2014 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group B in Vilnius (Lithuania). I'm so excited LINK: http://www.iihf.com/competition/386/news/news-singleview/?tx_ttnews%5Btt_news%5D=8688&cHash=8aef0f93581aa1919179615e61435bcc
  5. C'mon guys... A pack of posts in this thread, and every of them is a pure garbage. I don't want to discuss about arenas in KHL, because you took Vityaz's arena as a standart of KHL, so if they where plaeyed in, let's say, Dinamo Minsk arena, your thought about collapsing of KHL would be different?? But talking about that injury, I found that he will miss the next game, not 4 weeks. Actually he returned to that exact game, and scored a winning goal in a sootout.
  6. Zubrus one time played for Russia in world cup (not iihf world championship), but with a guarantee, that he will be able to play in IIHF tournaments for his national team Lithuania. So he played for Lithuania in IIHF WC (see my avatar) and promised to play again if he wiil be healthy and Devils will not play in PO. Because LIT playing in lower division, tournament begins early, so NHLers from these countries rarely have an oportunity to play for their national teams. Also Kasparaitis actually is also Lithuanian, but he choosed to play for Russia in IIHF so was not eligible to play for LIT after that. When Soviet union broke down, players from ex USSR countries had to choose for wich team they will play, Kasparaitis gone with Russia, Zubrus choosed his homeland Lithuania. By the way, Zubrus is a president of LIT local children league, and helps Lithuanian hockey with equipment and other stuff.
  7. Actaully I see Zubrus-Elias-Jagr line with the best chemistry line. For me it looks scarry. Size, skill, playing style, same hockey IQ and experience. Creating space, playmaking and scoring touch in one line
  8. Devils lost a superstar player, but.. now we all understand the difference between true Devils and simply hockey players.. Elias, Zubrus.. they wants to be a DEVIL, and says it in public. Can you feel the difference?
  9. Guys, you talking sh1t in this awful thread... Get back your mind
  10. Well, that lockout was crucial. Lubomir Vishnovsky was mad about returning to NHL, now Kovy. They came back home, and ... Who will be next?
