  1. Since returning from the WJC (including regular season + playoffs): 40 GP 27-36-63, 1.58 Pts/GP, 2.80 SH/GP, 24.11 SH% Just for reference, prior to the WJC: 26 GP 6-21-27, 1.04 Pts/GP, 3.62 SH/GP, 6.38 SH%
  2. Interesting news. Kelleher and Bayreuther were two of the prospects I was hoping the Devils would have interest in this spring. I'm a fan of signing Kelleher. Everyone's going to talk about his size, understandably, but being able to add a playmaking prospect that has produced at the NCAA level (1.09 Pts/GP) since being a natural freshman is awesome. I've been hoping the Devils would be able to sign him eventually since he attended the 2015 prospect camp. Doesn't turn 23 until next January so it's not like he's one of the older UDFA's, especially for a guy that played 4 years. Still a longshot to make it, but at least there is some potential there. Here's some of what SBN College Hockey had to say on Kelleher recently as one of the top UDFA's out of the NCAA: Bayreuther is a guy I've kept tabs on this season since I found him to be one of the more interesting invites to last summer's prospect camp. Offensive producer from the back end (0.78 Pts/GP in his NCAA career) and Last Word on Sports ranked him as one of the top UDFA's last spring with this to say: Honestly don't know much about his defensive ability, but it seems like there may be a player there. With how thin the Devils are as an organization, why not take a chance? I hope they can get a deal done.

Brennan was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for elbowing John Quenneville late in the game. Jan Mandat fought Brennan and earned a game misconduct due to the "instigator" rule. I haven't been able to find an update on Quenneville yet. Albany went 1/5 on the PP and 3/4 on the PK. Here is the gamesheet. 13. I thought Anderson was as described dating back to the scouting report on him from Hockey Prospect at the draft: Solid in a complementary role, decent vision in the offensive zone to find open teammates or move into space, will go to the front of the net and work hard along the boards. I haven't had time to watch many KHL games this year so I was excited to watch Rykov tonight. Loved seeing him out there in all situations and contributing at both ends of the rink. It seems that he's quietly had a successful 2016-17 season so far, settling in as a full time member of SKA's first team and now being a key piece of Russia's WJC team. I'm looking forward to seeing how he does in this tournament. Signed an extension with SKA that runs through 4/30/19 back in October. I'm half asleep right now and don't remember the specifics of the transfer agreement (or lack thereof?) but I'll look into it tomorrow. 14. The action starts today so I figured I'd get a thread going for this. The Devils have 4 prospects in the tournament: Blake Speers (Canada), Michael McLeod (Canada), Joey Anderson (USA), and Yegor Rykov (Russia).
