MDPucks
As for the last 3 seasons I have kept this thread the disclaimer is that it isn't intended for "We wuz robbed!" complaining regarding the referees. Instead it is to assess the patterns which develop with certain referees as the season progresses. Edited October 9, 2011 by mdsieve
Pepperkorn
Hey I'm cool with we wuz robbed too It's easy enough to take care of the refs by taking the hysterically blatant highroad like that last one there last night. I really wish they had called one on Philthy was it Simmonds? trying to force a fight then. I mean the way they held Boulton and Stupi... err Clarkson... accountable - that's what I mean by they called the Devils like losers who had a lesson to learn but those wacky Flyers just needed a slap on the wrist to regain focus. The Devils had that same privilege with Stevens on the team. I found it a little embarrassing sometimes - but it evened out in other ways. ANYHOW -- I like this thread! It's just fun to see like you wrote.

ohms law
Heya mdsieve, This is good stuff. Being new here though, I don't know what the color coding is all about, or anything else. Is there an explanation of what you're doing here, anywhere?
MDPucks
RED = Devils win BLACK = Devils loss PINK = Devils OT/SO loss I've kept this tracker for the last 3 seasons. As I posted in the disclaimer in post #3 the object is to see patterns which develop with certain referees throughout the season. While they travel across North America certain referees tend to be regionalized (ex: Sutherland, Kowal, LaRue, Meier = Western guys; Devorski, Walkom, Walsh = Pennsylvania guys; McCauley, Rooney = New England guys; Joannette, L'Ecuyer, Auger, = Quebec guys). Also if the Devils are on a roadtrip to Florida, Alberta, SoCal, etc. more often than not you'll get the same referees for both the Edmonton & Calgary or Florida & Tampa games.
