So I know it's still a few weeks away but, seeing that henrique has more or less made a spot for himself on this team with his play the last few games, what are we going to do with all our centers once zajac and henrique come back.

we have:

1) elias

2) zajac

3) josefson

4) carter

5) henrique

I would assume elias moves back to LW, but he has been so good as a center I think that would be a tough decision.

parise-henrique-kovalchuk

elias-zajac-sykora

zubrus-josefson-clarkson

tedenby-carter-palmieri

thoughts?

Keep Elias at center. See's the game better than anyone and great defensively. It's no coincidence his line is always the best counter attack.

I don't see why anyone would want to break up the Zubrus-Elias-Sykora line...

Parise and Kovy are going to have to learn how to play together. Kovy needs Zajac and Zajac needs Parise...

Parise-Zajac-Kovalchuk

Zubrus-Elias-Sykora

Tedenby-Henrique-Clarkson

Mills/Zharkov-Carter-Palmieri

I left out Josefson because right now I don't see how he recovers and becomes a factor this season... but if he had to stay, I would have:

Parise-Zajac-Kovalchuk

Zubrus-Elias-Sykora

Henrique-Josefson-Clarkson

Tedenby-Carter-Palmieri/Mills/Janssen/Your mother

Kovalchuk is too erratic for Parise.

Kovy needs stability in Zajac.

I don't think Parise needs Zajac.

Here's how I see it as of today. If Henrique drops off, that changes things.

1A. Kovalchuk-Zajac-?

1B. Parise-Henrique-?

1C. Zubrus-Elias-Sykora

4. Clarkson-Carter-Tedenby

Insert: Josefson, Palmieri, Zharkov

If Janssen/Boulton plays, bump Clarkson to Line 1A or 1B. Palmieri/Zharkov sits.

Josefson should probably center the fourth line and Carter moves to the wing.

I like these lines. agree to never split up S-E-Z, except to maybe shake it up for a few games.= to see if anything MORE productive can happen, but those boys work it.

I think K-Z-P will be deadly. I have been hoping Travis comes back post haste.

Henrique is not staying center! Did this game not prove this?

Parise Zajac Henrique

Kovalchuk Josefson Clarkson

Sykora Elias Zubrus

Tedenby Carter Palmieri

if that 2nd line would click then we'd have something serious and 4 good lines, would be hell for other teams to match up against us

This makes most sense to me. I think these would be some really good lines, especially if Clarkson works out where he is here.
