Quinn01
Hedberg bails out Larsson for a second time this period against Grabner That was bailing out Kovy. Larsson could have made a decent attempt at stopping the play until Kovy hooked him down.
thefiestygoat
Huge save by Moose on the penalty shot!!!! I take it Larsson gave the puck away again which led to the break away? I was stuck in another stupid MSG commercial break during game action...5th telecast in a row, 3rd time today.
NJDevs4978
Moose really bailed the team out on that one. Bonehead move by Kovy. Kovy wasn't the one with the stupid giveaway in the first place that caused the play. They were both equally culpable.

Random Poster
I think we're pretty much seeing everything on their PP and 3rd periods from this team.

Blown01NJ
When is hooking a player down on a break away causing a penalty shot ever a "good penalty"? Have you ever played hockey? He was away. You take him down in that scenario.
NJDevs4978
Have you ever played hockey? He was away. You take him down in that scenario. Why...the breakaway's a de facto penalty shot and the takedown gives them a penalty shot off that anyway. So either you're facing the breakaway in real time or you give the shooter and the goalie time to think about it. At best it's a wash that isn't really neccesary. Random Poster
No. He's right. I've played this game since i was 8 (almost 30 years) and taking a guy down on a brekaway or letting him go in alone is a wash. Actually, giving him a penalty shot is an advantage. He has no one chasing him, can relax with the puck and isn't facing the same high speed quick thinking pressure of full speed action. Given a choice, i'd rather do what i can to not take him down and try to disrupt his attempt.
MadDog2020
Well I almost had a heart attack... but they pulled it out. Thanks Moose.
