Flyer fans

They were in the $40's yesterday lmao. Hopefully some Devil fans did buy tickets already. I don't have a group to go with so I'd be a sitting target there myself, plus don't really feel like making a two plus hour drive up and back on a weekday.

Couple observations from game 4:

1. Flyers fans seemed pretty tame, probably because they were getting their assess handed to them so badly

2. "Cheese steaks and fat chicks!" seemed to be the chant of the night

3. Sometime during the 3rd period during a TV timeout, they began a montage of Rocky training. My Dad and I were like "Ugh..does Devils pr know this is a Philly thing.." when suddenly, they cut to all the clips of Rocky getting his ass beat in the various movies. I was DYING, it was hilariously well done

That was one of the funniest clips I've ever seen them play...I too was like, "WTF is THIS?", but when they showed him getting pummeled again and again and again, I couldn't stop laughing. Friggin' hilarious.

also, i know hes from NJ and they've played it at games before, but i love when they play Danny Devitos pump-up spot. Its just funny to see Frank from Always Sunny cheering the Devils instead of Flyers.

Everytime I see that video, I always think of this line from one of my favorite episodes:

Frank: "Guys!!.. There's a gloryhole in the bathroom!" + "Let's go!"

**DISCLAIMER** I am not a special education student, I just don't feel like taking the time for spelling/grammar, so just deal with the flow of the story and you will get the jist of what went down...

PRUDENTIAL CENTER SECURITY WAS A JOKE...absolute joke Sunday night...see story below...

My girlfriend and I sat in 121 for Game 4, one row in front and one section over from that brawl that went down in 120? (or was it 122? Either way, it was RIGHT NEXT to us). They were the on the end seats of their section and we were on the end seats on the same aisle of our section and we watched the ENTIRE THING transpire...

Flyers go up 2-0 and some white trash (she wasn't really "white", but for all intents and purposes, she was trash) chick in a Flyers tee shirt with her deadbeat, loser, scumbag, pant sagging, low life boyfriend (or companion, not sure which) decides to do a "humping motion" on the back of the head of a Devil fan in the row ahead of her (my row, section over)....Devil fan (scrawny looking dude with a scrawny looking pal) turns around and swipes at her, yelling "Dont touch me, dont fvcking touch me"...girl starts laughing and her boyfriend cocks his fist and F bombs start to fly and both parties have to be restrained....security (one guy) comes and takes Flyer fan out, talks to him and sends him back in about 5-10 minutes later...Flyer fan is subdued for a while but continues to drink heavily....girlfriend finally passes out for the ENTIRE SECOND and first half of the third period because she is so drunk...I tell security, big usher comes, takes girl out, she comes back 5 minutes later...no problem at all....I am sure you can see where this is headed...

Meanwhile, each time I go to the bathroom, I remind the female usher, "please watch these people, there is going to be a problem, I promise there will be a problem here...PLEASE WATCH THEM, it is just a matter of time"...each time, she pretty much smirked and ignored me, turning away, and even ignoring me in the third period when the Flyer fan was getting more and more heated, drunk and animated as the game went on...

Fast forward to the Zubrus goal where we go up 4-2...same Devil fan in row in front of Flyer fan turns around to celebrate and rub it in to the Flyer fan, grabbing Devil emblem on his chest and screaming...Drunk, low life, scumbag, unemployed, dirtbag Flyer fan cocks fist back and BANG...cracks the Devils fan right in the face and the brawl ensues....Devils fans take the Flyer fan and FLIP him over the seats and into the crowd and people start going crazy, beating eachother...

This is when I grabbed my girlfriend and we RAN, fast....but first, I found that female usher and screamed at her, " I told you so, what did I tell you? Why didn't you do anything" while she is running 3 SECTIONS OVER to get a bigger usher to help out...this went on for a while before any security came and my GF and I were far gone by that point because it was so close to us that I didn't want to get pulled in and I didn't want her to see it.

On the way out, multiple, lowlife, degenerate, toothless, jobless, scumbag Flyer fans drunk and screaming in people's faces trying to start a fight with ANYONE...they were looking for FIGHTS...

I have been going to NY Jet games since 1988 at the age of 3 and I am no prude, I have seen IT ALL at sporting events, especially being a Jet fan in the doldrums of the 1990s...when a fight breaks out at the stadium, within seconds, maybe a minute max 20-30 yellow jacket security people show up and break things up and escort EVERYONE INVOLVED OUT OF THE BUILDING...NEVER HAVE I EVER FELT SO UNSAFE and SO SCARED at a sporting event in my life...the Prudential Center should be ashamed of their level of security and how they let these lowlives stay inside the arena to watch the entire game despite all these issues throughout the game...It was a VERY SCARY situation being so close and feeling like no one had any control over the situation....

If anyone has the customer service/complaint phone number and/or email address, please send it over because this needs to be addressed and they need to hear from more paying customers about the lack of security and safety in their building. It was an absolute disgrace.

That brawl happened in 120 and unfortunately a stampede of people fell down the rows, it was very dangerous, I was holding up two guys on my shoulders because they couldn't get up. Section 120 is mostly full of Season Ticket Holders (I am one) so I knew the guys behind me and it is a shame that they almost got injured. I held the guy up for a good minute until everybody got off of one another. They could of broken their legs or hit their heads on the seats below them.

Before game 3...even before the WARMUPS a drunk flyer fan shoved me out of the way when I was walking to my seat. I did not even say a word or even look at the guy, all I saw was orange. It is very scary to be touched by these lowlifes who punch, push, stab, and puke on people.

So far 'normal' Flyers fans have been sitting near me but even they are very strange. Flyer fans are not human.

I brought up this topic on Flyers hfboards and it is disgusting that they think this is normal behavior. They say every fanbase have people like that...they do not understand that it is wrong to bring these kind of antics from their own arena to another arena. I never have any problems when a ton of Ranger, Canadien, Penguin, or Leaf fans invade our arena. But to become violent in another teams arena is just disgusting. They think it is normal and that's where the problem emerges from.

Pretty crazy, I was in 121 which is also most season ticket people. I missed the brawl in your section because there was one going on between 121 and 122 at the exact same time (after the empty net goal). It was ridiculous, and I really hope the Devils end this thing tonight so we don't have to deal with these people again.

And the worst part is that we have many families attending our games so all of these little kids are exposed to these shenanigans.

When I filed my complaint against security over a year ago, I got a form from a person at the box office. I filled it out and mailed it but never heard back so good luck.

Not that it's right or anything, but as soon as you knew that we were gonna play the Flyers, it should be an automatic that unless you're down low, it's a no kids zone. Unfortunately, this behavior is to be expected from Philthy fans, so bringing a kid should be done at your own risk.

As much as I hate having kids see this crap, it is unfortunately part of the stadium/arena experience these days and have been for some time.

Notice you never see when doing shots of the crowd on ESPN that they do not focus on the majority of fans that are sitting and watching and cheering but instead focus on a few drunken idiots and paint them as the "true die-hards." Unfortuante but that's just how it goes.

I can't stand a lot of Ranger fans, but for the most part, though they may repeat a lot of the same tired jokes and are just annoying in general, I rarely see them trying to start fights with anyone. Ditto other fanbases. Almost every time I see a Devils-Flyers game, the fists start flying somewhere (usually multiple somewheres)...and it happens enough that when the Flyers are in the building, it's not a shock when the fights start up.

I don't get it at all. And it's the number of sucker-punches that are even more aggravating...like punching someone who's not expecting it is somehow makes Flyer fans that much tougher. No, not all Flyer fans act like that, but there's more than enough of 'em that do.

Like I said, I grew up as an STH (still to this day with my father) for the NY Jets and I SAW IT ALL and HEARD IT ALL from a very young age. I am now a young professional and opted to take my girlfriend to the game without really giving it too much thought because she always comes with me to Jets, Devils, Yankees, Villanova etc. games and I will definitely NEVER bring her to another Devil/Flyer game, nor will I really jump at the opportunity. I brought her to the 2010 Flyers/Devils series and we really had no problems whatsoever, this was a unique situation and one which will change my perspective on attending these sporting events in general.

yep went to the home opener this season and after that, not subjecting my GF to Flyer fan sh!t again. It was really bad. I'm not normally one to want to fight someone, but I was damn close to it that game. Really trying to stay away from Rangers or Flyers matches because I don't want to subject her or myself to that crap. If one of them were to start sh!t and call her something I'd probably lose it. Not worth getting bounced from the arena.

Agreed. Ranger fans are just annoying but they are never this violent.

I remember many a fight during any Devils-Rangers game in the 200 level at the CAA. It really does seem like it has calmed down quite a bit since we moved to Newark, maybe because nobody wants to spend a minute in a Newark jail cell for a stupid fight at a hockey game.

...

Just a simple but effective tactic I've learned... next time get the usher's name and constantly repeat it. "What's your name?" "Jane." "Ok Jane, there are two drunk Flyers fans looking to start trouble down there. It's just a matter of time, Jane. They're drunk and ready to fight. I'd really appreciate it if you can keep an eye on them for me, Jane." I know it sounds corny and awkward but it makes the person feel more accountable. The other upside is if she doesn't do anything, you know her name when you complain to the Devils.
