2 things i really hate about our  PP (both which have not really cost us so far)

1- the lack of urgency, you simply don't feel like they feel they have an opportunity, especially from Kovy when he's going to get the puck behind our net, he's slowly skating to the puck and then slowly skating the puck up the ice with no urgency. OF COURSE i wouldnt want them to rush and make stupid decisions but they are always sooooooooooooooooooooo relax and slow setting themselves. Depending on if we're getting lots of clears we're losing a lot of seconds from our PP just because of that. I'd just like to see the intensity of a last minutes where a team is trailing by one and absolutely need a goal, but obviously keep on playing smart not to get scored on SH

2- they are making extremely dangerous passes between the point men im actually really surprised it hasnt been picked up yet for a breakaway. And they keep their play so high around the blue line with the 2 defending forward so close to them. Seems like we don't have room on the point too often and they keep going back and forth with it.

our PP is not horrible but it's something that gets me nervous pretty much all the time while we're on the PP.

Kovalchuk have to be relax and waiting for line change or wait that everybody is ready for the breakout... One thing they do well these time is entering the zone so.. no problem there

what a defensive play by Larsson

we played bad against islanders and we're playing bad now. There's no putting it on the other team here. Its on us and nobody else

So when Parise and a few other players injured were out back in 2010-11, we went on a tear in the 2nd half because the other teams just played bad or because the Devils elevated their game with Lemaire in?

Just because Ottawa is down a couple guys doesn't make them less dangerous in any game.  Hard to imagine they would go winless the rest of the season without Karlsson and Spezza.

It's just the ups and downs of an NHL season. The Devils beat Pittsburgh 2 straight last weekend and everyone sang their praises. Now they are losing a few. It happens. What matters is the overall picture. 9-3-3 coming into this game, and the team has had entire periods where they play great. It's coming together ok. Now it's just hoping Deboer can do the necessary tweaking and that he can get them playing that high level when the playoffs get closer.

No but we're definintely a better team and if we'd be playing our game and well (which we are NOT) we should be winning that game. No one can argue that
