Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello said that goaltender Martin
Brodeur skated earlier this morning for the first time since his back
tightened up on him during warm-ups before the team’s Feb. 24 home game
against Winnipeg.

I wonder if Pesonen gets in. Be interesting to see how he does. Supposedly he can shoot and move, which following Devils logic means he will be playing on the 4th line with Barch. (I keed, I keed!)

Deboer still line juggling like crazy    hopefully zubes comes out 100%, I would think ice skating is a huge no no for wrist rehab!!!

Interested to see Pesonen. Is he another Pikkarainen or will this be something that's interesting past minute two.

Interesting. Anyone think this will go better than Pikkarainen did? Pesonen posted similar numbers in the SM-Liiga to what Pikkarainen did before NJ brought him back over to NJ.

we have a very different system that rewards control on the boards and forecheck, i think he will be very successful.

We can only hope he demonstrates the same brilliance as Pikkarainen.

Pikkarainen was much older - when he was Pesonen's age, he was doing much worse in the AHL.

The key for someone like Pesonen is skating and positioning - so long as he isn't Sestito bad with the puck, he can stay in the NHL if he skates well and is in the right place.  Pikkarainen's skating was poor.

Pikkawhatever's everything was poor.   Pesonen is supposed to be a much more skilled player, not a D-team power forward.    Whether it translates to anything is another thing.

Pikkarainen wore #17. He was sent packing around the time we were working to get Kovy. Once he was gone I knew Kovy was coming to NJ. Sad, but that's the only thing I remember about him.
