He can't play in the AHL or for the Devils until Sarnia's season is over

And when is that?

@TGfireandice: Reid Boucher's contract doesn't begin until 2013-14. He's not eligible to play in NHL this season.

So much for that

He can be ATO'd to Albany if they want, though

Very likely to be the case

Nice performance #s this year.

The New Jersey Devils have signed Ontario Hockey League-leading goal scorer Reid Boucher to an entry-level contract.

President
and general manager Lou Lamoriello announced the deal for the 2011
fourth-round draft pick Wednesday without giving details.

The 19-year-old Lansing, Mich. native has scored 62 goals for Sarnia,
breaking the club record of 58 set by Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos, who
currently leads the NHL in goals. His goal total is 14 higher than the
next closest player this season.

Boucher also leads the league in power play goals (21) and is fifth with 94 points. He has 90 goals in 132 games with Sarnia over the past two seasons. He will
remain with Sarnia, which has three games left in the regular season before heading to the postseason

Sarnia made the playoffs but will be a lower seed in the OHL's Western Conference. I could see them winning the 1st round but not advancing further than the 2nd round. Going off of last year's schedule he could potentially end up in Albany anywhere from the end of March to mid-April.

Well, we were a low seed last year. So were the Kings. Anything can happen. Edited by Revan

Would it be fair to compare Boucher to Neal ? Neal played in the junior til 19 and was putting inferior stats than Boucher... both a relying heavily on their shot and are putting up most of their numbers on the PP ?

so if things go well Boucher could be our future "Neal" on the PP. We would have Boucher to snipe from the right side as he's a left side shooter and have Kovy snipping on the left side shooting right.
