This is excellent news.  This is what happens when you have owners who care and have really deep pockets.

Just waiting for the usual crowd to go "but...but....but.... goal song!"

This is awesome news, that technology is so cool.

We have a little less then a month before we can start up the annual goal song complaint thread when they debut the new song hah

Yup I love Harris and Blitzer.. Btw, I think the NHL rents this for the teams in the Finals because we had it in 2012 and luckily I still have the picture I took:

someone else can clarify this but I think that wasn't the same thing in 2012, it was just a normal type projection I believe

This is really great news!

I always like getting to the games a little early usually to see warm ups but now I have another reason.

This is great! Just started a new job that will get me out 45 minutes earlier than last year, so I'll make the pregames for the first season in a long time.

Is this the same system the Canadians used in their playoffs? Their pre-game was awesome! ! The entire ice dropped down and flipped over!

They're actually the only other NHL team now that owns one and uses it all season.. All the other teams just rent it

I read somewhere that we will be the only non Canandian NHL team to have this. Montreal and Calgary have been using it for some time now.

There were definitely some sort of 3D effects in 2012. Goal lights at the faceoff dots, similar effects as the Cavs one above with the faceoff circles rising and looking 3D. Don't know if it was the same company, but certainly similar at least.
