Colorado Rockies 1976
..he might. But the media\fans will always take things out of context. That's their nature. There was a mini-tantrum last night on HF regarding Hitchcock's postgame comments. https://mobile.twitter.com/jprutherford/status/545838745644052480 “It was a combination of alot of things. But when you score four goals, you should be able to win a hockey game on the road.” --Ken Hitchcock ..again, do I think he's talking about Marty here? --who knows? But in an age of public forums\twitter\internet message boards, quotes are more open for interpretation\disection. Yes, the above is very true. I definitely didn't love some of Marty's quotes from last season, but there were some fans who were finding negatives in damned near everything he said (mostly because they were looking as hard as they could to find a negative take). There's now extended debates on the meaning of the words/quotes themselves. I've never seen coaches' and players' quotes picked apart as much as they are now, and yeah, internet discussion forums have a lot to do with that. ATLL765
That center ice bouncer took a REAL bad bounce. It hopped once then bounced way higher than he could have expected. He let in at least 2-3 goals that he should have saved.
BlueSkirt
after the Carter goal, the "Marty" serenade begins.
Neb00rs
Pretty cool. Marty let a 20 year old junior player take a shot on him after practice. http://video.blues.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=784&id=707076&navid=nhl:topheads] Edited December 23, 2014 by Neb00rs
'7'
Brodeur is pitching a shutout through 2 periods on Colorado thus far. Granted he's only faced like 10 shots but 0 goals is 0 goals

hit the post
And on the Blues fans give Marty little or no credit....16 shots or not its a fvcking shutout.
NJDevs4978
And on the Blues fans give Marty little or no credit....16 shots or not its a fvcking shutout. What do you expect...he's not their legend and he'd struggled badly in a couple of games before tonight. If Jagr had come in last year and produced at the level of Zajac people'd have been killing him too.
mfitz804
And on the Blues fans give Marty little or no credit....16 shots or not its a fvcking shutout. Ironic comment on this board, where Marty got no credit for anything for at least the last 2 years.
CarpathianForest
And on the Blues fans give Marty little or no credit....16 shots or not its a fvcking shutout. Really? All I heard was "Marty" chants when he was named first star and came out for an interview.
Neb00rs
Congratulations Marty on 125. Marty has played 80 straight minutes of shutout hockey. Good for him. And on the Blues fans give Marty little or no credit....16 shots or not its a fvcking shutout. What the hell are you talking about? Have you been on Blues forums at all? Seen any games? The Blues fans love the guy. They cheer him on and frequently chant his name. Many Blues fans have been calling for him to start over Allen. This is called 'drumming up fake drama.' BostonNala370
Marty is making the decision of what to do with 3 goalies a tough one for St Louis.

Derlique
Marty is making the decision of what to do with 3 goalies a tough one for St Louis. Marty and his .904 save percentage are sure making it tough! Edit: But seriously, I am happy that he isn't embarrassing himself. He deserves to go out on his terms and play however long he wants. mfitz804
Maybe at the game, but not on the Blues HF Boards. Yeah but you can't go by the opinions of trolls on message boards.
Neb00rs
Brian Elliot is back. Hitch says that Allen will back up Elliot tonight and then Marty will start one of the next few games and then they will 'see from there.' Funny, if Marty hadn't pitched 80 straight minutes of shutout hockey he is probably done as a Blue by now. He did just enough. Nonethless, decision day is coming for the Blues. http://www.nhl.com/gamecenter/en/preview?id=2014020542&navid=sb:preview&intcmpid=sb-preview Edited December 30, 2014 by Neb00rs

Devil Dan 56
Marty just took a one week leave of absence from the blues. Hmmmm interesting I think his last hope was that he'd be traded to the Wild. With Dubnyk going there it pretty much ends Marty's career.
