Agreed, Jesus Christ, just admit that you fvcked up big-time and call it a day.
That being said, they had reason to cut him based on last year's performance and some other issues...he was late to a meeting and fined and de-activated against the Giants, and fumbled three times on the season (losing two of them).  But let's face it, they cut him as a "last straw" move based on something Whitehead clearly didn't do.  ADMIT IT.

The best was the one reporter asking Garrett (this is verbatim) 'are there people working for this organization that are too stupid to work for this organization?'

Yeah, what these guys never seem to realize is that when you arrogantly and obnoxiously try to corporate stiff-arm your way out of your fvck-ups, it never really goes very well...you come out looking a lot more incompetent and weak in doing so.  JJ and JG (who knows if the latter is even capable of thinking for himself) would really help themselves out immeasurably if they did that one thing that seems to be so fvcking novel these days:  ADMIT YOUR MISTAKE AND APOLOGIZE TO THE AFFECTED PARTY.  People by nature of being human occasionally fvck up...why is it so hard for some people to own up to their mistakes?  And if anything, though Whitehead was clearly wronged in THIS case, he's a fringe-ish kind of player anyway who doesn't exactly have a perfect record...you can even say "Yes, we messed up here badly, but we had issues with this player before, and weren't sure of his future as a player here this season."  It's still not fair to Whitehead, but don't make it sound like the fact that he was cleared is completely being ignored by your organization.  God what a mess...and Dallas is only adding to it.
