I got this from HFboards.

"I'm sure this is not perfect, but using lots of web resources here are the MINIMUM salary commitments for each team as of 3:00 Monday. For RFA I used their qualifying offers, in some cases those RFA will probably see a major raise. For the 20 man roster I used the 2 G, 12 F and 6 D under contract that seemed most likely to be on the team if the season started today.

$$$ Team Name (Significant RFA to be signed)

51.0 Philadelphia

47.4 Toronto

46.4 Boston

44.6 Ottawa (Emery, Schubert, Kelly, Saparykin)

35.6 New Jersey (Parise, P.Martin)

It makes me feel good that Toronto has a wage bill that high , when the team they have is so poor.

Same with Boston and Chicago.

Boston has been at the cap ever since they signed Chara for 7.5 mil per season. Anyway, I'm actually pretty surprised to see Chicago and Toronto with that much of a payroll. It's nice to see that out of the bad teams, at least the Devils are the smart one.

If we can add a few utility players at the lower end of the $$$ we will be a reasonable team who are smart.

Agreed, but we are running out of players who could actually help us. As long as Lou doesn't throw a ridiculous amount of money at somebody, which it appears he won't, we will still be one of the smarter teams out there. And by smart I mean looking long term, instead of just short term. It's just a matter of how competitive we will be in the upcoming season.

Rangers will be screwed..

Lundqvist=4.5-5millions? Lets say 4.5.

Avery..2millions.

Prucha..1.5millions

Hossa..800k

That makes a total of: 52.7millions, WITHOUT SHANNY.

Unless Lundqvist takes a HUGE Discout..

Rangers will definately have problems with their Cap.

Avery is going to want more than 2 million. Prucha is a 30 goal scoerer 2 years about, slowed down but still oung, might ask for more than 1.5. Hossa isnt going to sign for 800k. Rangers are going to lose they youth.

Avery?

Yes..If Bryan Smolinski could get 2millions..

He'll get 2.5-3.5 millions..

So i say they have to trade Prucha and....Hossa.
