San Diego = OVERHYPED FRAUDS

Anyone still want to argue with me on that one? I can't believe how fast Norv's ruined that team.

And barring a Met-like collection of swelled heads there's no way Dallas isn't the best team in the NFC. Where that actually puts them in the scheme of things is debatable both because the NFC stinks and because NE and Indy are clearly the class of the league now.

There are a LOT of bad teams in the NFL right now..and the evidence of that is it seems a lot of fans are pointing out teams schedules and saying you did not play anyone...

Yeah no kidding... I seem to want to say that a lot as I type the week in review (It might even be posted soon after the Monday night game tonight)... I look at Green Bay, they beat up on crap....the only team that pulled out an impressive win this week was the Browns (look at me tossing daggers at Manta while pouncing him in fantasy football )

Hell the Oakland Raiders are in First Place

The End is near.

Oh and can you count to 12??

I know Donovan can

:giggle:

What happened to Alex Smith I read something about a dislocated shoulder??

Donovan can count to 36 cause he kept looking for him all night last night :P

that team can't beat Rutgers without Westbrook (and after this week that is again an insult, since RU only beats up on soft frauds, pads their schedule and FOLDS at the first sign of adversity!!)

Yeah I think he did... Smith got smacked in the first drive and did not return... so it was a TRENT DILDO sighting!

updated:

Bernard made the biggest of Seattle's six first-half sacks. The impact separated Smith's right shoulder, likely sidelining him through the 49ers' bye week in mid-October, and the offense was mostly awful with Trent Dilfer in charge.

I take full blame for this happening bc I said to my wife prior to the start of the game "I think they are starting to turn the corner"

:argh: If they don't start improving soon I will understand what Bills fans go through season after season.

I actually think we can blame our banished friend TD for it... remember he proclaimed them to the NFC Title Game :P

and please.. they won more in the 80s then the whole city of Buffalo has won EVER... I don't think you can have Buffalo pains!!!

Marty Schottenheimer must be enjoying the SD collapse.

But bro you said it, yes i did say the Chargers would be one of the top teams in the AFC, but they are another one of those teams that no one could have predicted, like the Saints. If someone offered me a $1,000 over under 2-2 for the Chargers, looking at their schedule, i would easily take the over, and i don't know anyone who wouldn't. Well, how bout them Cowboys?

I guess you missed the part when I said look at the rest of the NFC?

I'll take Dallas' 4 wins over the 4 that Green Bay has had in level of quality at this point (though they will play a lot of the same teams and EACH OTHER before it all settles)

but guarantee all you damn want... I don't fall into that crap :P

as of RIGHT NOW, this moment Oct 1, 2007.. there's no better team in the NFC

If only they just played the first month. If that were the case, the 2007 Mets would've been crowned champions.

A lot can change over the course of a season. And as you know, it can happen in the NFL as well.

Right now, you're right. There aren't many great teams in football.

Outside of the Colts and Pats, everyone is a notch below including Dallas and Green Bay.

Are the Cowboys good? Sure. TO is playing well and looks motivated. Witten is one of the best kept secrets at TE and really is the guy you must shutdown if you want to stop that offense Imo. Barber and Jones are as good a RB combo in the league. And even your other receivers are getting the job done before Glenn returns. Romo so far has done a good job in what still is his first full season as starter. Let's see how he holds up.

The D has been alright. It is attackable though. Especially if you throw in the direction of Roy Williams who doesn't have anyone to cover for his mistakes now.

They should win 11-12 games. So if you want to say they're in the mix, I can't disagree.

We'll see what happens.

so then if we can't judge the league on the 4 games that have passed... what CAN we judge it on??

How can we tell who is good and who isn't? Hey let's have an AP poll like those dopes do in College Football maybe?? Or let's go on those pre-season predictions... hell that San Diego/New Orleans pick can still be truw then!!

and you should know by NOW.. I've never been the one to come out and beat my chest like King Kong's demon spawn about a win or my team looking good (all you need to do is GO LOOK BACK as I've been screaming at the Cowboy fans to knock it off and don't mess with the karma!

And you name me a team in the NFL that ISN'T flawed?? The Pats still have a defense that is being carried by this unstoppable offense which MAKES you press and make mistakes and trying to play TD for TD with them and not many teams CAN... the Colts?? We'll see after the Injury reports come out....

The thing that took me the longest to do this week... find 5 good NFC teams for my rankings!!! It's not a good year talent wise in the NFL (and the most MISERABLE Fantasy season I can EVER remember)... but it makes it fun to watch!

The Bengals were able to move the ball tonight.... 11 to 15 yard passes seemed to come easily. I was not happy with the Patriots pass defence.

BTW - I think I heard them say that the last time a team won their first 4 games of the season by 20+ points was in 1920. I wonder if Buffalo Collegiate All Stars used Hi-def video to steal defensive signals?

Baltimore at Cleveland:

Wow, this was probably the biggest upset of the day here

Statisically we outplayed Cleveland in every aspect, accept the most important: the score.

On offense, I think McNair is done. Boller STILL has the potential to be a great QB.

How about big plays though?? That Edwards TD early was a KILLER... going down 14-0 with the Ravens poor (at best) offense was a KILLING blow... I watched alot of that game... Cleveland is a dangerous team now, they are just having fun out there and playing nose to the wind football

Yeah McNair is sadly finished... but again.. what weapons does the QB regardless have to use? Heap ? Mason? Not very many weapons in the arsenal in Baltimore... they're like the Bears, but they have a RB at least...

I was hoping that Clayton and Moore would be "more" effective, but they are not doing much.

I am a Romeo Crennel fan so I am glad they are having fun, just not at our expense.

Gotta agree there, Ravens should have made a more serious run at Stallworth in the off-season me thinks... he's the home run type of guy that adds a "scare you" player on the offense....

and yeah... the Browns success is KILLING ME too :P

The Raiders are looking a lot better with Culpepper as their QB. Raiders might actually have a pretty good season possibly at .500. Culpepper than Russell if needed.

Cowboys look the best so far then I would say the Patriots through 4 weeks.

That's what makes predictions meaningless. Out of the 12 teams that made it last year, look how many are in a bind:

San Diego- 1-3

Jets- 1-3

Eagles- 1-3

Saints- 0-3

Bears- 1-3

Plus the Giants, Ravens and Broncos are each 2-2. Though it's a lot different being in the NFC than top heavy AFC.

You've been beating your chest the whole month. Facebook much? I can't say I blame ya though.

The Pats and Colts aren't flawed and would destroy anyone from the NFC.

Cleveland, Oakland and Arizona in your power rankings??? Yikes.

I'm doing that as more a revenge thing on the Giants and Jets fans i know and the ones I have to mouth off at every Sunday in my bar... like I said... a 24 hour enjoyment period then you stress about the next guys :P

(and I use myspace more.... facebook is for me to talk to ONE friend!)

I get this weird feeling Oakland MIGHT win the AFC West, they are playing the best football in the division... and Cleveland will go 9-7 to piss me off about what SHOULD be a top 5 pick we were gonna get from them, and look at the teams they beat... they spanked around Baltimore and outgunned the Bengals... they honestly had the Raiders BEAT if not for that moronic timeout rule, which HAS to go... and so they got spanked with the worthless Charlie Fyre at QB.... someone is going to trade for Derek Anderson next year and be VERY happy they did... he'll be a better QB then Quinn.. just watch!!!

It's REALLY hard to pick a 5th team in the NFC so I went with who had the most impressive win... Arizona

It wouldn't matter if Oakland started McCown or Culpepper against these teams.

Lets not over rate the Raiders, they are still a very bad team who had the good fortune of playing suspect teams that didn't prepare for them.
