themiddle91489
Did anyone else feel as if this arena was a little TOO fancy? I don't know if it was the carpeting, fancy interior or what, it just kinda felt like I was walking through a hotel rather than a sporting venue. But I do reside in sports arenas such as Shea, MSG and formerly Continental, so maybe I'm just used to crap.

NJDevils_Rock
These are the street signs around Newark. This is one of the food stands that was not out yesterday. This one happens to be in front of the LCD screen, near the Fire Lounge. Here are a couple more of the Fire Lounge Here are a bunch of paintings outside the restaurant
NJDevils_Rock
Restaurant Paintings Vanderbeek showing off the view of the practice rink in the restaurant. I also have the full mural, but I think we have probably all seen that. If not, let me know and I will add that too. Hope you enjoyed these! DougieBrown
I have/had two disappointments, otherwise, I'm very pleased with the new building: 1. My seat in section 232. The sightline is fine, but good lord, if you weigh over 225 pounds, good luck squeezing into it. I actually heard one guy in 231 who looked about 250 pounds say that at least it gives him incentive to lose some weight. Heh. But really, these seats are really narrow. 2. Was expecting more food today than just cookies. Still work to be done on the building, but all in all, it's a treat.
thelastonealive
I'll have some high-res pics of my own in the near future. The place is beautiful, obviously. Got some stellar pics of both the building and players...slowly uploading as we speak.

themiddle91489
At least the cookies were free. Yesterday you had to pay for the food and soda.
