Shtikl
OK, so they were only pre-season games, and both on the road to boot. But the T-Devils won them both! Congratulations! It sounds as if anybody who was lucky enough to see both games saw some truly exciting hockey! titans04
two solid efforts against a team that was playing slightly more than half of it's real lineup. Unfortunately for us, if you're on the roster you're it, there are no extras other than 1 dman. Something has to give here, they need at least 2-3 more bodies. If they go into a 3 games in 3 days opening weekend with only 10 forwards we're asking for trouble. Shtikl
BTW, I didn't listen to the games or try to watch them... don't know the links, either. But I was looking at those scoresheets... From the +/- on the scoring sheets, there Edited October 13, 2008 by Shtikl
titans04
It's way to thin all the way around and there's still one or two guys that really don't belong playing at this level. I think Akerson got banged up in game one - don't think he was a healthy scratch in game two. Also didn't hear Kell's name called once in game two and the scoresheet indicates he probably didn't play as well. Zancanaro will be back in a month barring any set backs, but I do know they were told there would be another body or two from Lowell down from the start, so well see. Maybe they can pick up some scraps once other teams make their cuts. Not a good way to go about it imo but we'll see. Jdub
I think Trenton will be alright. Lowell has like 3 or 4 extra fowards more when Tallackson gets back. So 1-2 guys should be sent down. I really dont think the big club is gonna let trenton fail because they have a frail minded Frazee in Trenton. The most important part in his development besides playing is being in close games and wins so he can keep his head into it. They know it, so I dont think they will let anything bad happen in trenton.
Shtikl
Well, past history is no guarantee of future performance, which is a good thing. The NJ Devils let Trenton slide last year. But not providing a full roster, with some extra ATOs or PTOs, is just horrible General Management. Give the coaches a few choices, give them good livestock, give them a fighting chance to win every game. As for Frazee, maybe they've thrown him to the wolves already (or the jackals). We'll see how Smith does this year in nets as well He ended strong, but early on one bad goal would pretty much finish him. Two 'iffy' goalies does not bode well. We'll find out shortly
