Don
You really want cops sticking people for blood samples? Will they have little tester centrifuges with them? You know that's not feasible, the lady who sticks me when I donate blood barely knows what she is doing let alone police officers. And its certainly not feasible or efficient for officers to escort ever suspected person to a local hospital to have it done either. It's already being done. Of course the cops don't draw the blood nor do the test. If you are suspected of DUI of marijuana in California, you are taken to the station where you have a choice of taking a urine test or blood test. Techs there will draw the blood. So I go to a concert, someone lights up next to me, i drive 2 hours home, i get pulled over, a cop smells pot on my clothes as you admitted before sticks to people and decides to take me 30 minutes to the nearest tech, i have to go threw some kind of test which is likely to take me an hour at least to complete, then drive home because I was perfectly fine to begin with. Sorry, I just don't think that's an acceptable inconvenience to legalize pot. It's a complete waste of my and the officers time. satan
Uhm... forget legalizing pot. I'm telling you what is happening right now today. Thats not exactly accurate as to what is happening right now... A cop can only get a blood test for a person who is already under arrest. If someone is suspected drunk the person can be given a breathalizer on the street but... if the person is high there is no other way of knowing on the street. Once again coming back to the fact that its easier to test for someone being drunk then high.
SC Devs Fan
Uhm... forget legalizing pot. I'm telling you what is happening right now today. While that might happen, that certainly isn't the norm. There is also the problem that levels stay high for so long that you might have smoked last night and still be highly postitive. After all, as anyone who has been drug tested knows, the THC and its metabolites test postitive for 30 days. Imagine getting pulled and tested for drunk driving and failing because you got drunk last weekend.
