Finally getting there!

7 posts in this topic

Hey all. If this isn't the place for this thread, I do apologize. I just felt like I've seen them around here before. But to get to the point:

I recently got a friend of mine really into hockey, and she became a huge fan of the Devils, naturally (smart girl.) Anyway, I haven't been to a game at the Rock yet and now that I finally have a fan to go with, I'm putting my foot down and making it happen. Problem is, she can only go to a game during her Spring Break anddddd we've kind of waited to the last bit of the season to get things in gear. But at any rate, which game do you guys think we should go to?

March 30th against the Bruins or April 2nd against the Blackhawks? What do you feel would be a better game/draw a bigger crowd? Obviously you can't see into the future, but some outside input never hurts. ALSO, as a P.S, my two friends who are Rangers fans said they wanted to come with us and they frequent MSG because of season tickets. So, I definitely want to show them that the Rock "rocks" just as hard.

Anyway, this is very scatter brained, but...any input you have would be great. :) Thanks a bunch. At the end of the day, the most important part of this whole thing is, I GET TO GO TO A fvckING GAME. I'm so pumped.

Also, what's a good section to sit in? I just went to look for tickets and realized I didn't know where was a good place to set. I'm so new to this haha.

If you're looking strictly for a rocking crowd, go with the one against Chicago. Weekend games always draw better than mid-week.

Don't go to the Boston game, no offense to any team but whenever I watch Boston play I get...tired. They were boring today against the rangers and they won. Go to the Blackhawks game, it will probably sell out and it could very well be a preview of the Stanley cup final.

Also do not bring Ranger fans to the rock.

Edit: Oh yeah have fun!

They want to come with me! I don't understand it either haha. Don't worry, they're respectful and harmless. I can barely label them as 'fans.' But what else is new with Ranger followers?

Go to the Blackhawks game. The Devils will be looking to gauge how good they are by how they play against one of the top teams in the West. Plus Chicago beat us earlier this season, so the Devs surely will be looking for payback.

And make sure you cheer Johnny Madden on his first shift!

Just had to make the same decision...this will be my first game at the rock as well. Went with the Chicago game. It should be pretty packed, with most people off for good friday and all.

As far as seating is concerned this is what I prefer:

Low Budget: Best sections(entertainment wise) 232-233 Best View 229 or 212

Medium Budget: Balcony Seats in the first three rows!

High Roller: Never sat in the Club Seats but they include food so they must be at least decent, also sections 6, 10, 17, 21 are nice and about $100 cheaper face value compared to the club seats minus the food as well.

Hope That Helps!

P.S. We highly suggest you do not bring any Rags(Rangers Fans) to the games.
