Devils Fans' Kovy Support Rally

105 posts in this topic

Be careful what you write..............you may think it's funny, but that right there is a death threat. You should delete it.

I've heard less threatening things make the news....

A "just kidding around font" needs to be established.

If we do it at the NHL offices or store in NYC I can make Thursday or Friday because I work in the city. If it's at the Rock i might be able to make Saturday, but honestly, things might be settled by Saturday. And, if we do it at the NHL store, I can buy a Devils hat (my old one is getting ratty :) )

We should have a vote as to where this is going to be, so we know at least how many people we could expect in either place.

I work near the store/NHL offices. I'd be happy to take some photos of pissed off devils fans with comical signs mocking Gary Bettman and spread them around to any media....im sure people are looking for stories on this. Idk what good it would do.

Can we please do this? I'm off friday and this would be awesome! I say at the Pru Center.

The prudential center is the best place to do this. All we need to do is call News 12, NJ 101.5, Star Ledger and a major news source

Friday would be perfect. We should all meet up somewhere

Let's create a poll, if possible.

Have two choices:

Would you attend a Rally outside of the Prudential Center at 3pm on Friday in support of the Devils & Kovalcuk and protest the NHL's actions?

Choice a: Yes

Choice b: No

Seriously if we do it Friday I would consider driving up to Newark with a sign, and I think it would be hysterical if we actually all drank kool aid.. I might have one of those orange gatorade coolers my fraternity normally uses for jungle juice.. I'm assuming you guys wouldnt want me to add Everclear like we normally do

yeah i'd ask for no everclear, i cant drive from newark to rockland buzzed

also, and you gave me this idea, lets set up a "lou's kool-aid stand" at the rally, and stop passer-byes to get the message out

if a moderator can combine this one with the original rally thread, it'd be appreciated.

it was the only way i knew of making a poll for it.

If you would attend, please keep in mind:

we need to act civil, but we can protest, and i think we should.

Guys if you want to do this we need to set a place and time and know how many people are going to show up. So in your next posts say when and where you want to do it and IF you'll come. I'll then make a list of attendees in the OP. Hopefully Msweet can help out.

I would absolutely attend, assuming it isn't Friday after 6 (I'm visiting a friend at Rutgers who is taking summer classes there and is basically on lockdown).

Well we'd have to get a thread going on hf... then over on devilsrule.com... Then maybe get the word out through nj.com or the radio and newspapers
