Our Center Man Problem is Solved!

All this time we have been looking for a good center to play with Kovy and the guy we needed was right under our noses!

"Lamoriello suggested that Rolston is viewed as a center. He also said, "Brian Rolston was the first call we made at 12:01."

Ok, maybe not, I'm just looking back at some articles on when we signed Rolston for this ridiculous contract and what Lou had to say at the time. This quote especially caught my eye.

before we send winky out there, how about giving kyle wellwood a league min. deal to have someone who can win 60% of faceoffs?

We can only afford one fat guy on this team and Marty's it.

I wouldn't let Rolston fire away at the puck nonstop. Chances are they puck will bounce off the glass and poke Kovalchuk's eye out.

Don't forget to add that he takes about 18 seconds to wind up before he shoots , so more or less he has to be wide open and the defencemen covering him has to fall down on his way over to him for Rolston to get his shot off.

I wish we could strap some of our players in a chair and make them watch video of how they are supposed ot score in todays NHL. Quick release > wind up and telegraph the shot.

I remember when Sutter used Rolston as a center his first year here.

Turned out he couldn't play centre.

Turned out he couldn't play wing either so who knows.

rolston cant play more than 5 minutes a game, cant have a shift more than 30 seconds without getting gassed.

seriously, if we had a dog that suffered that badly, we'd be inhumane if we didnt put it out of its misery.
