Not surprised...I have DirecTV, and though I like the product, the people who come to install are iffy at best. A couple of guys who came were just flat-out slobs, leaving fast-food wrappers behind, handprints on walls they leaned against, etc. I just moved into a new house, and in one of the rooms, I needed the hookup moved to a different wall than the previous owners...he said he could do it, but with what was involved, it would cost $50 extra...I didn't have a problem with that,...

but when he was done he not only didn't add it to the receipt, but said I had to give him the $50 in cash. He did what I asked, so I did it, but not hard to see the guy was pocketing $50. DirecTV installers tend to be shady.

Most companies won't install anymore because of those issues. So you have to get a handyman to run it. They aren't allowed to do it on company time, with company equipment, etc... but of course they do, and they pocket the $50... while being paid and having no expenses.
