With the Zubs out, perhaps we can see more of Butler and what he can do. I really like the line of Elias-Henrique-Clarkson. I like how they work together. SterioDesign Posted February 7, 2013 Share Posted February 7, 2013 i dont see it as a big problem even though it could burn a year of his ELC simply cause what Lou is doing right now is showing lot's of royalty its showing that he's trusting him a lot and i think it goes a long way for their relationship so even though Matteau could be free agent sooner because of it im sure he'd remember that and would want to remain a Devils and stay in that organization. Also i dont see Matteau as a top player who could earn 5m+ each year but more like a role player so he probably won't be that expensive to re-sign. and then since he's gonna be younger at the end of his ELC he's probably not gonna be proven as much as he would be with an extra year so we could get him cheaper then too. cmon Lou, make another batch of koolaid Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
