WAIT WAIT WAIT

What did Marty say this morning?

Marty's said for a while that he thinks Parise is going to re-sign. The Pens side thinks he's going there, the Wild side thinks he's going to Minnesota, our players and writers think he is going to re-sign here.

We are reading too much into everything now.

Salvador said he's "too close" to situation with Parise to say much about it, but believes there is still a chance Parise will re-sign.

Salvador said he has spoken to Parise and texted with him throughout the process. Didn't want to say more.

mmmm......

I really like how close our team seems to be with one another. Devils family :koolaid:

I think this right here says he's leaving... Otherwise, why not just sign already? Any contract he gets is going to have the bells and whistles anyway.

It's the way he talks in the interview I saw yesterday and the whole "list" thing that bothers me. Either you want to come back here or you don't. This Devils team has survived losing a lot better players then Parise and we will be fine without him.

I'd like Parise to stay for a fair contract but we'll see.

With the way the economy is today, having to hear this millionaire making like it's such a hard decision to make even more millions of dollars really starts to rub me the wrong way, especially when it keeps dragging on and on. It's a lot easier to ignore these facts during the rest of the year.

Boooo fvckingggg hoooo. I'm gonna make millions of dollars. Such a hard decision. The more I hear from Parise the more he sounds like a diva.

I agree 100%. Too many fans are trying to defend this "decision making" process because of the money being offered.

Here is some reality:

If you make "only" 7 million a year instead of 10 million a year you can still have the following:

1. Kids in the best schools.

2. A nice house in a nice neighborhood.

3. Another house (or two) anywhere else in the world.

4. Your wife will never have to work a day in her life.

I'm not a socialist and I don't care who makes how much money but I don't really care about people who gripe over making "only" seven million a year instead of X million a year.

If you want to play here and you will make seven million then stay; if you really need an extra million to play a game then take a walk.

Because this one decision will greatly affect his life for the next 10+ years? Maybe that's why?

I PAY hundreds of dollars every year to play the sport I love. That sums it up.

Yeah, but it's a lot less house and a lot fewer cars. If you're in to that sort of thing.

RIGHT.

Like I said, the dude has the right to ask for whatever he wants but it's still a character decision and so would be choosing a team like the Pens.

I suppose you really need that extra Corvette sometimes.
