DevilMinder
I just set up a new IRC chat for us. Test it out and report any errors in this thread. I hope everyone likes it. The speed is much faster compared to the older chat we had. If you have any suggestions make them as well.

DevilMinder
Well so far so good, most seem to get in pretty easy. If you don't get in try using internet explorer or restart firefox. I am using 3.02 and others reported being okay with it. El Diablo was in with safari as well. Karupin says chrome works once he installed the java kit. njskaguy33
Just an FYI, I'm still getting that \t\t\t error when I try to go in via the new Chat link. How emabarassing...and to think I actually work in IT.... Any advice?
Devs4LIFE
Now that I think about it, last season whenever I would go into the chat room it would be with IE, firefox just doesn't seem to like me going into chatrooms.

karupin
Karu figured out the link is the best bet for you IRC client people irc://72.20.14.218/njdevs Alternately, 72.20.14.218 and just join njdevs. the link doesn't seem to work all the time. for chatzilla, I think attach is probably easiest: /attach 72.20.14.218/njdevs EDIT: No, DM is right, the link is easiest. attach is second easiest Edited September 26, 2008 by karupin
devils26
I got into the chat fine using Firefox 3.0.2. I followed the link in post #2 and I was brought to a new page, where all I had to do was install some Java binaries. I didn't even need to install an mIRC client. threestars
I am running Firefox 3.0.2 and I got in fine. Chat isn't quite so slick as the old one though, but I guess that may stop the lag issues.
