StarDew
The suspension logic boggles my mind. Hits to the head get different amount of games or none like Ovechkin's hit on Hjalmarsson while Ashton gets 20 games for using a training partner's inhaler for an asthma attack. Yes it may be a PED violation but it doesn't seem fair. The disciplinary action seems so arbitrary. This link LINK shows a chart of the suspensions for the 2014-2015 season, so far.. All the hits to the head vary. Konopka's PED violation will be effective with new contract. SInce he is not signed for this season there is no suspension however he didn't have a fine either. He gets away with no disciplinary action albeit suspension or fine. The kid who couldn't breathe loses $169,185.This inequality or one size fits all i.e. PED is ridiculous imo. I know it is what it is however do you feel about this subject?

Sarge18
There have been two great takes on this over the years. http://www.downgoesbrown.com/2009/11/nhl-suspensions.html?m=1 And http://www.nhlwheelofjustice.com There's no rhyme or reason in most of these decisions. However in the carter Ashton case his penalty is dictated by the CBA.
SterioDesign
you can't take a step back and look at suspensions like that, some guys were on their first offenses, some on their 3rd. etc etc, every play is a different scenario.
NJDevils1214
The inhaler thing is a little ridiculous.
Satans Hockey
The inhaler thing is a little ridiculous. It's an absolute joke and the NHL should be ashamed of themselves.
