maxpower
Same type of play that sunk them against us earlier in games, get overexcited on an odd-man rush, D comes charging in, turn it over... whoops. Other than the OT it looked pretty even.
cgb6397
Btw, he is nicknamed King Henrik because of the Swedish Monarch, the three crowns and what not. Not because he is the King of the NHL. No way. What's your source?
Zubie#8
No way. What's your source? I am pretty sure it was during the Swedish Gold Medal run in 2006. Its probably in wikipedia or something lol. It had nothing to do with the Rangers or NHL, Sweden has a monarch, the jersey has three crowns, he put up a great performance for the Gold medal so thats where the nickname was given. MadDog2020
The Kings are fvcking ridiculous. 2 goals in 22 seconds at the end of the 3rd to win it. Edited May 17, 2013 by MadDog2020

DJ Eco
The end of that Kings-Sharks game was so messed up. Same kinda crap that killed us in Game 6 against them, extended power plays and then boom, they sealed the deal. I got some flashbacks watching the end of this game... JacobPaul1995
i know that feel. i can't even look at the LA logo without getting haunted. only way of closure i get is by kicking the crap out of them with the devils in NHL 13.
DJ Eco
I'm really beginning to hate LA. Everything from their obnoxious Twitter feed to the ridiculous songs and announcements they do in their arena, ugh... The South Park "Let's Go Kings!" chant, the stupid ass organist that plays those two notes while the goalie's name flashes on the screen like "Lambchops Sing-a-long" after a goal because those know-nothing fans would otherwise not know how to heckle a losing goalie. I would have much rather lost at the hands of the Sharks last year, who've had a legitimately loud building and cool fanbase for years. I was in LA for business last year a week or two after the Kings won, and when I passed their arena in the cab, you would NOT have known that that city had won the Stanley Cup, absolutely no one cared. Derlique
I guess I don't really hate them because they didn't goon it up a la NYR and Philly. If Brown pulled his usual douchebaggery I might feel different. It's not their fault the refs missed the Gionta board, called a major on Bernier and set a pick on Volchenkov
njd3b1ink
I have nothing against the players on the kings, actually I really like some of their players (brown, quick, penner) but after playing them in the playoffs last year I realized that they are a classless organization. Don't hate the players, just the management of the organization. In all seriousness who hires a porn star to sit behind the opposing teams bench and hang her boobs out to distract them? There are other reason which have been mentioned a post or two before this. I've never seen a more obnoxious organization where the one in the wrong is actually management and not the fans

DJ Eco
I know everyone's first reaction is to say that last night's game, and the series, is "very even". But I can't help but think about what would've happened if some of those shots that hit the post went in. I mean, obviously Boston knows how to get by the Rangers' defense, they know how to get pucks past Lundqvist, last night was incredibly unlucky. The pit in my stomach was making me think that the Rangers might win in overtime, just because that's what they always do. But Boston got the job done, thank god. But imagine any of those shots that hit the post go in, and we're looking at a 6-2 blowout. I think Boston looked better than what people will give them credit for, they're dangerous as hell. If we were playing them in a series, I think we'd get swept.

Daniel
Did you know that Queeny is 3-11 in playoff OT? Marty's record isn't much better. Among active goalies with more than 2 playoff OT appearances, JS Giguerre has the best record at 12-1. Moral of the story, playoff OT record isn't really an indication of anything. Zubie#8
Did you know that Queeny is 3-11 in playoff OT? That doesn't mean anything, he plays for a bad team who can't score for him. It is obvious he is the best goaltender in the league for the past 4 years. Imagine he was on a better team that can actually score for him. Add a couple of veznias, a cup, and maybe a conn smythe. He is playing for a mediocre team, HE makes it a good team. Regular season: GAA: 2.25 Save %: 0.920 Shutouts: 45 Playoffs: GAA: 2.24 Save %: 0.921 Shutouts: 8 This is a mind blowing stat. Lundqvist has 18 career playoff games where he posted 30 plus saves. 18 games. 1.49 GAA .941 %. He has a 9-9 record in those games, he is not the problem. The guy is a really good goalie. Best in the world right now. Only the Rangers can waste his career. Edited May 17, 2013 by Zubie#

Rangers always score when the other team has like 8 scoring chances in a row, and then they come back and score on some BS...at least that has been the formula vs the Devils lately and a few caps games in the playoffs this year

In games 5 and 6 of the ECF, the Rags actually outplayed us, but Lundqvist sh!t the bed. The numbers look good and we all know he's elite but let's not act like he hasn't had his struggles in big spots
