  1. Smith also played that terribly. Not that that's any surprise.
  2. Luke too. I've been hard on him, but I'll give him that credit. Durability is big in my book. Hey....there are the two on ones we saw all season! Been a little while.
  3. We're really wearing these stupid fvcking jerseys on our last game of the season? I'm not one to say this organization is "awful" or "cursed' or some of the other doom and gloom things people say because I'll die rooting for and defending the team, but my God sometimes they make it hard or impossible. What a symbolic way to end the season - ugly jerseys for 81 games of mostly ugly performances.
  4. Yeah, that's the part I don't really get. Is it simply because it's somewhat close? Otherwise, seems to me Houston or even Quebec would make sense. Hell, maybe even Hartford or Atlanta lol.
  5. Reactivate means they'd keep the team in Utah and then expand and have a 33rd team in AZ? I hate that idea. League is arguably too big already, to me 30 was good, 32 is alright. Anything beyond that is too many.
  6. But all of the light green bars for "offense above average" are at zero or lower, aka the negative part of the graph.... So that means everyone had below avg or poor performance when it comes to offense? I guess that makes sense since we were shut out, but just seems a little weird still.
  7. I don't get how to read that chart. Both the purple and green lines say above average...... For offense and defense......So everyone's performance was above average?!
  8. Glad I'm missing this one. Shorthanded goal allowed, of course.
  9. Does it really happen that often? I know the Islanders aren't extreme example this year, but I can't really remember many other years where it was that blatantly obvious where a team had so many points from OT losses or shootout losses.
  10. I don't personally want to see a change, at least not for regulation. Call me old fashioned or a traditionalist, but an extra 5 minutes to decide a winner is pretty insignificant. I think if you win a game in regulation or OT, it's 2 points. Now, I'd like to see shootouts go away altogether, but assuming that doesn't happen, I could understand a shootout win being worth one point and a shootout loss being worth zero. I don't love that scenario, but I like it more than 3pts for a regulation win. I've said it before, but personally I don't understand the problem with ties. You can still keep the three on three overtime which is exciting, and maybe even extend it to 10 minutes, but after that time if teams are still tied then just tie. It's only the regular season, obviously no ties in the playoffs, so what does it matter? Award one point for a tie and be done with it.
  11. This is the season that got away. Long offseason for the boys to reflect and hopefully come back next season realizing what it takes to make the playoffs and how they need to play. They have their shortcomings, but they're capable.
  12. Nice win. Leafs are gassed and you could tell they we're trying.
  13. For everyone criticizing Smith on that play, you're not wrong, but Luke did absolutely NOTHING to stop the guy in the slot.
  14. The offensive production is nice, but my, his defense has been really bad. Enough, for me, to be thoroughly annoyed.
