Gonna have to guess this was a he said, she said deal. No point in taking that to court when your defendant can afford a quality attorney and will 100% take it to trial. It'd be a waste of money. mfitz804
The incident in question allegedly happened in front of a lot of people. The decision that there will be no charges means they really had nothing. If anything had occurred that was criminal, it would have been seen and there would have been no avoiding charges. Good for Jim, if h in fact didn't do anything I am sure he is very relieved.

TackleDummy
No charges, but he's still going to get dragged into court over this. "The private citizen complaint summons for simple assault will be adjudicated at a later date in Wall Township Municipal Court,” the release states. The citizen complaint is separate from the police investigation and still must go through the judicial process, Wall Lt. Pete Lokerson said." I'm not really sure. Doesn't seem like there's enough in the way of damages to make this worth while for a law firm to file a civil suit. True but still its a lawsuit against a somewhat famous person that will get media coverage. Free publicity/advertising at the very least for the law firm. RunninWithTheDevil
This is what happens when a little sh!tbag with entitled parents wants to play a sport they have no business being near. If you can't handle a little flak from your coach, you can go play baseball or lacrosse you whiny little wimp. Don't drag Jim Dowds name through the mud because of it. DevsMan84
Best is that in the article 6 of the kid's teammates said the kick had nowhere close enough force to cause any sort of injury at all. This is on the precious little snowflake and his greedy helicopter parents.

Matteau#32
My co-workers son plays in the same organization, different team. Said this is basically a prick of a parent and the whole thing is being blown way out of proportion.
