Does he have more insight than your average 'insider' sure, but ultimately his comments aren't much of an indication of anything that we couldn't have already deduced ourselves. In fact he's just saying the same thing most of us feel, that it'll be settled by January cause there's too much to (unneccesarily lose) if they don't.
