  1. If you are ever in DC, check out the team's practice facility. I know people who've been successful in getting autographs (at least one from Ovechkin) after the practices are over. This is a year or so ago; don't know if it has changed.
  2. I think I'm going to be sick.
  3. No need for name calling; I agree with your basic point although I do think the Flyers should have won by more given the difficulties we had on our offense. Flyers got lucky and we didn't...to a certain extent you make your own luck. The Flyers focused big time on defense to shut us down and it was working. That's smart hockey. Why focus on offense when the other team is having trouble scoring. But my basic point was, maybe not stated so eloquently, was that I'm not too disappointed with the game. As I said, the drive is there. They have the skill level. I think the guys just need to calm down and focus. We only lost by one. That gives me hope that this series is far from over.
  4. Okay, I'll be the optimistic one. Given how the Devils couldn't convert and were playing with no hockey sense, I'm surprised the score was only 2-1. Seriously, the Flyers should've won by much more. This team has the drive. It's time for the coach and the veterans to take charge, calm everyone down, and remind this team of how good they can be when they're focused.
  5. I like Kovy's spirit but he needs to take some pressure off himself. I can't wait for him to score; hopefully that will calm him down.
  6. Marty is a great goaltender but he just shouldn't play against the Rangers. This is very sad. Any momentum from last night's game is over.
  7. I just have this vision of Lou sitting next to Kovy saying, "Would you like a drink?" Lou turns and quickly pulls out his special juice laughing like Mr. Evil thinking, "You will be mine, oh yes, you will be mine."
  8. Oh, yeah. Use the old "I have the flu" excuse. If I had played in that game last night, I'd be feeling queasy too. Let's give the team some extra OJ, then. No more Kool Aid!
  9. I just feel like there are too many excuses. This team is dropping the ball. The coach needs to stop making excuses. Stuff happens, but stuff has been happening a little too routinely lately. I'm disgusted.
  10. Glad everyone has enjoyed the clip. I was having a bad day at work and stumbled onto the video while I was waiting for quitting time to arrive. I was shocked to see Marty's face on the WSJ's homepage.
  11. This is my first topic; I hope I do everything right. I don't think this link has been posted yet. I found it entertaining: http://online.wsj.com/video/how-to-take-a-puck-to-the-face-with-martin-brodeur/21849C06-3EAA-4ADE-AB20-585FD00B8CE9.html
  12. Long time reader, first time poster...I thought this was the night. I'm so proud to be a Devil, to be from NJ, and to have Brodeur. My uncle, die-hard Ranger fan, just texted me, "Best ever, really, and that comes from a Rangers fan." Best Christmas present there!
