hey everyone, big devils fan here. i was wondering what time should i be at the rock on tuesday if i want to get $10 tickets?

9:00 AM.

Sure there will be some Devils fans camping out way earlier than that for the $10 tickets.

IMO, there is no amount of money for a ticket to miss this game. B )

haha, but seriously guys...i was thinking like 2-3 pm.. what u guys think?

You have no chance of getting a seat if you arrive at 2pm. Those $10 seats will be all thats availabe by Tuesday morning, everyone will be looking to get a ticket like a stanley cup finals game. Take off of work and camp out there all day!

This game is almost sold out already I think. There's a few tickets left on Ticketmaster, lower level. Lowest price on Stubhub is 161 and there are only three listings. Devils Ticket Exchange doesn't have anything under 115$.

Considering that, at this time yesterday, there were a ton of tickets available all over the arena, it's pretty cool that they're almost all gone so quickly. Thank you Marty!

Now, all he has to do is lose every game up to the last home game and the devils attendance woes are OVER! :koolaid:

I'm gonna be a little selfish here. I'll be in the clubs for Friday's game against the Wild. If the Devs do lose Tuesday, I hope Weekes plays in Carolina.

I posted this in the $10 seats thread over in the Marketplace section but haven't gotten much of a response, so I'll post it again here:

I might be getting on the $10 ticket line tomorrow morning for the first time since Opening Night last season. That time, I missed out on getting tickets -- because they sold out -- with only two people in front of me. This time, I hope to get there earlier. Now I have a few questions:

Where do you guys park your cars for cheap early in the day? I think the $10 lot I usually go to is filled up with 9-5ers at that time of day.

How many people have to be in the line before you know there is no chance at getting tix?

If the line gets really big early in the day, do they ever hand out the wristbands early so everyone doesn't have to sit there all day?

Does everyone usually do a good job at policing the line, making sure nobody cuts in at the last second?

I imagine everyone brings food and drinks and reading material and iPods and crap like that. What about sneaking a few beers?

Any other tips?

I can't help with everything, but here's what I can offer from my experience:

How many people have to be in the line before you know there is no chance at getting tix?

Two tickets per person, 200 total tickets ... at least 100 people.

If the line gets really big early in the day, do they ever hand out the wristbands early so everyone doesn't have to sit there all day?

These two have varied depending on who's in charge. They pretty much always hand out wristbands early, sometimes as often as a few times every hour. I've never gotten in line for a high-demand game though so I'm not sure how early they'll start handing them out.

As for the cutting, it's a tough call. Sometimes once people get their wristbands, they can leave and jump right back into their spot. Sometimes once someone leaves they have to get to the back of the line when they return (the wristband ensures tickets, but the sooner you get in the more likely you'll be to get the section you want). As for people without wristbands cutting in line, that's a mixed bag too. If they know someone already in line, I've seen it stand. If they don't, they better have their last will and last testament in order.

I imagine everyone brings food and drinks and reading material and iPods and crap like that. What about sneaking a few beers?

Drinking in public comes with a pretty steep fine in Newark. But I've gotten away with brown-bagging a 24 oz. Labatt Ice before. If you're gonna risk it, be cautious and always be ready to hide/toss it.

Any other tips?

If you get in line, stay in line. Seeing as how you'll have to get in line early tomorrow to get tickets, that's asking a lot, but avoid the temptation to leave once you get your wristband. You never know how lenient they'll be with letting people get back into their previous spots in line and it's just better to be safe than sorry.

I don't think there is even that many, first off the Devils said approximately (not exactly) two hundred tickets, and someone on another board said that one time there were about sixty people in front of them and they didn't get a wristband.

That's probably because people got wristbands then left. :noclue:
