MadDog2020
I can't believe they are doing this again. I'm a season ticket holder as well but I don't give a sh!t about these 2 games because I had already sold my season seats for these 2 games. I'm sure some people are calling up and bitching though, and rightfully so. I'm more than happy to take advantage of an offer like this, but yeah- if I was a season ticket holder, I'd be furious with the Devils. CRASHER
if I was a season ticket holder, I'd be furious with the Devils. I think I might mention this on the 22nd (They called me when I was with a customer so I didn't get a chance to talk on the phone then.... BUT: ) Scott- I apologize for disturbing you today. I know yesterday we discussed in great detail getting you back involved for this season with one of our ticket packages. I’m emailing you today to invite you out for a special event the Devils will be hosting at the arena on November 22nd. That night we will be playing the Washington Capitals, a team that finished in first place last season. I want to invite you to our Mulberry Street lounge at 5pm that night. Within the Lounge, you will hear from our owner, Jeff Vanderbeek, and our team President, Rich Krezwick. They’ll talk about the team, the direction we are going in and they will be happy to hear any feedback you have. From there, you will get FREE tickets to enjoy the game that night, in a similar location to you season tickets from last year! We’ve been told there is going to be an unbelievable incentive made available that night to come back and join the Devils family…they’ve even been keeping it from me! I would love to host you for that event, plus a guest, and get to know you a little better. Please let me know if you would like to attend so I can put you on our RSVP list. I hope to hear from you soon! Best regards, Brian Reid Business Development Specialist NEW JERSEY DEVILS This could be FUN if I get a chance to speak back
NJDevs4978
Oh god, I can't wait to hear about this 'unbelievable incentive'...another Black Friday deal (limited to former sth's) plus Frozen Over-type prizes? Maybe they're finally clueing in to the fact they've cursed the franchise by pricing you out Well more likely they know they can't sell **** period and they're already getting desperate cause their $100 million marketing campaign is blowing up like an exploding cigar. It says they'll be happy to hear your feedback so they should let you speak. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the room when that happens Edited November 6, 2010 by NJDevs4978

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the room when that happens Well to be honest any money I would have saved for STH this year I already blew on trips and my battlestar galactica DVD obsession But it should be fun... and Lord knows I don't need a forum to speak my mind..... but GIVE ME ONE ... and OH BOY I'm sure I'll take some kinda notes on this If they let you speak, give 'em hell Crash. On both their ticket policies, AND the horse-sh!t product they've saddled us with this year. To be fair... a bad product on ice.... it's gonna happen.... we've as a fan base been lucky with that..... .....as for how they treat their CORE FANS (STH and ex's like me).... now that's a different issue.... also this lunacy that they can charge up the moon and expect people to come.... well... 26th in attendance much??? This might be a day of therapy for me

This might be a day of therapy for me The price structure is a joke. There's no way the 209-226-232-215 seats should be $37 face ($31 for season tickets). Shoot, with a non-Canadien/Minnesota/NYC fanbase you really shouldn't charge that much for anything but the center-ice seats upstairs. Especially considering if you have to buy them off TicketMaster it's even more than that. And the 100-level seats have been a joke from the beginning, even when we have near sellouts those are the ones usually empty and pretty much get discounted 38 games a year anyway. maxpower
I wouldn't be surprised, and you're correct. If I didn't have the $15 tickets I'd probably be pissed too, since I do it's like meh...if the Devils want to commit pr and financial suicide, their loss. Then again if I couldn't get the $15 tickets I'd probably just sit back and go discount hunting anyway since the next cheapest sth is $31. It's just that the CRASHER rants are worth the entertainment value. They're more entertaining than most Devils games this year I see my STH as a donation (which will keep me from going nuts watching this current "product"), but still 3 times in 4 games is way too much. this isn't 1980 where they're direct mailing these offers and no one knows. and they aren't even confining these offers to the balconies, which I wouldn't have that much of a problem with, because honestly, how many STH's are there in the top half of those balconies? you might piss off like 5 people. they're going to completely fvck over their retention rate. if the team is bad + this, they are going to have to come with some serious incentive to get people to re-up. at some point, they're just going to have to suck it up and deal with these 10-11K "announced crowds" and an empty building. I know five people in 209 ALONE who have been priced out and fed up with the damn thing already They've been slowly doing this in the uppers since season 2 in the new place.... I don't see them stopping it soon.... and hell now that I KNOW they are giving away freebies like water.... no way in hell would I come back to be a STH! ThreeCups
They sent out an e-mail to the people who attended one of the Jersey tour meetings. The e-mail said thank you for supporting the Devils and asked to pass on the tickets to someone who has never been to a Devils game. I guess it is part of the Jersey Tour concept of trying to build the fan base and expanding the Devils market. I don't think it has to do with them losing. From other posts on here Lou Lams attended a fan club meeting and promised everyone four free tickets in the future also. If the team had no trouble selling tickets there would be NO WAY they would have given out FREE tickets to 3 home games before Mid November....if they continue to suck it could reach the double digits by season's end.... I know their old-school thinking was "well, if we can charge twice as much and get a little more than half of the people, we come out ahead", but this is a new building, not some cavernous barn they had no chance of filling... problem is they didn't get half of the people up there. those are walkup tickets now. if they had any common sense, they'd just start selling the corners on Stubhub for fair prices. it's not like they haven't done this before, it's a little, um, curious, when half of the lower deck ends up on Stubhub for less than face, for 1st round playoff games. hurricane1091
Our tickets are not priced that bad. Go look at the other teams. Anyway, I've already paid and gone to four games, I'll take these for free. I might not use them, but I deserve them and don't only show up when they are free. hurricane1091
Anyways, our ticket prices are good compared to most of the other teams. Yeah, you get MUCH better value with teams like Tampa Bay, but they have no fanbase and don't have much of a choice. Plus, we actually put a good product out on the ice usually.
