If there ARE local blackouts... then if you're watching the game in an area where it's available on cable... you are out of luck. I live in Canada so people in the Jersey area may have more insight the rules down there. I have an X-Box One and the Gamcenter Live apphas been problematic for me this year. It's prone to random dropouts and lag has been an issue for me this season (my internet download speeds normally test at about 75-80 mps... so it's not the fastest connection, but it was more stable on previous versions of the GameCentre app). All that to say, I have no idea how the PS4 version of the app runs. I would look into that -- and blackouts. And this year if you want you can pay a lesser amount if you just want to get Devils games as opposed to every game. Yes, there will be blackouts when they are on national TV (rare). Heard somewhere if you use a VPN or Proxy you can even get Gamecenter for $99 which I guess is an international price. Not sure though as I never tried it. Every year local games have been blacked out. I live in Baltimore now and the Caps game wasn't blacked out on Saturday every other year it had been. With Gamecenter, if you live in Jersey or New York, you will never get a Devils game because it's always available on some cable network (MSG, MSG+, NBC Sports, NBC). Cable gets first dibs. I believe Center Ice works the same way, but since that's a cable platform, it's really only useful for watching out or market games. Same with Gamecenter. I live in Austin, TX, so Gamecenter works great for me. I get every Devils game except for Devils / Stars and if they're ever on NBC or NBC Sports. Just an FYI, Gamecenter stinks during the playoffs. You'll only get about half of the first two rounds and none of the finals, because NBC Sports and NBC has a good portion of the games. You'd think the NHL could work out a deal that would make the Stanley Cup Finals available on every platform, but that's not the case.
