DevilMinder
The end of a miserable march to nowhere. This is the last time to cheer on the Devils till September. @TGfireandice 12m12 minutes ago Looks like Reid Boucher in and Stefan Matteau out tonight. Al Montoya will start for Panthers tonight vs. Cory Schneider for the Devils. No Jon Merrill for the Devils' morning skate. so it looks like Peter Harrold will be in tonight. Only reason to win tonight is for pride (and shifting FLA's draft order).... Lets go Devils!
Satans Hockey
First time I'm actually happy the season is over. The worst and most miserable team for me personally. R.I.P. 2014-15 New Jersey Devils, you never even stood a chance.
StormJosh
i think what killed us in the end was that we only gave Gionta and Zubrus 15 minutes per game. If they could have gotten to 20 we would be running away with the Presidents trophy by now.
slasher72
Good riddance to this season. Lets hope we're not saying this same thing next year.

mfitz804
Why sit Matteau...makes zero sense It does make zero sense, UNLESS the plannis to send him back to Albany and hope for a playoff run there. While it makes no sense to sit him, whether he plays a meaningless game today ultimately doesn't matter. Doesn't matter if we win, lose, etc., and one more game of NHL experience won't make or break his career. That being said, I want him on the team next year, barring some insane set of circumstances by which we acquire a brand new top 6 and guys like Elias, Zajac, etc. move fown to the third and fourth lines where they belong. NewarkDevil5
Trying to see if Zubrus will pan out as the 1st line winger we all hope he is. I hope to see 20+ minutes from Zubrus and Fraser tonight to determine whether or not to give them 1st line / 1st pairing minutes next year. Fingers crossed. I feel like somehow you might be being sarcastic here, but I've been wrong before.
coldply123
I think we lose tonight. Florida has more talent and you know Jagr is going to be motivated.
Neb00rs
Wow a DM-started GDT thread. There's something you don't see everyday. All the Devils need to do is a go 1-0-0 to finish the season and well...they will have two more points. Makes zero sense and there is no UNLESS, Albany played last night, plays tonight and tomorrow. If they gave a rats ass about Albany's chances they could of retuned him for the three in three. Not playing him tonight so an older stiff can play is just typical of this GM and staff. Although I would bet all lineup calls are made by Fester. Devils Pride 26
Hey hey at least Deb is looking somewhat for the second straight gm. How dare you. If you're a young 20 something and didn't have a crush on Deb Kauffman you were doing something wrong.

BostonNala370
Lou will offer a 3 year deal Tootoo at $3 M per year
mfitz804
I'd give him 2 years, $4 million.
BostonNala370
I'd give him 2 years, $4 million. He would take it with a NTC clause.
slasher72
I hope Lou chooses not to hire a coach and sits behind the bench next year. I also hope he drafts a defenseman in the first round. He would take it with a NTC clause. Of course give him a NTC! That's how Lou gets it done.
mfitz804
You could give Tootoo a NTC without issue, you'll be paying him nothing and his trade value is minimal.
mfitz804
On a positive note, I met my goal of watching all 82 this year. It took extensive DVR usage but I got it done. On a negative note, 2-1 Panthers.
