I have a feeling the Blake boys will bring tremendous 3rd line depth in the future. Both have a knack for putting loads of shots up.

It also seems like Coleman likes to play a physical game, I absolutely love that. I'm really hoping Pietila will be able to show off his defensive game in the WJHC this year.

Not Devils related but NBC Sports will have 2 NCAA games tonight. Notre Dame vs. Maine at 7 and Army vs. Nebraska-Omaha 10. Its not the NHL but its live hockey to watch.

Just one week into the season and the Miami hockey team is already collecting awards as sophomore forward Blake Coleman was named CCHA Postgame Offensive Player of the Week, the Central Collegiate Hockey Association announced Monday.

Coleman (Plano, Texas) had a huge opening weekend to lead the RedHawks to a season-opening sweep of Colgate last Friday and Saturday. He scored three goals while adding an assist in the two games for a four-point weekend. Friday, he scored a pair of goals for his third career multi-goal game, including the first goal of the game and the season, which was the game-winner in the 3-0 shutout. His second goal of the night he scored unassisted. The physical center was the No. 1 star in Friday's game.

In Saturday's 5-1 win over the Raiders, Coleman again notched multiple points with a power play goal and an assist on Miami's third goal. It was his first time recording back-to-back multi-point games as he did not record back-to-back multi-point games all of last season. Coleman now has seven multi-point games for his career. He posted a +2 rating Friday and a +1 rating Saturday for a +3 rating on the weekend while also firing nine shots on goal.

Matteau seems more like a goon than a power forward.

Ive actually heard really good things about him. I think it was Zubrus that was saying how impressed he was with the kid. I also think it was Conte that said they expect him to become a good 3rd-2nd liner that can take the body and that they wished the Devils had more of it
