seeing that Oates is interviewed by Washington for the head coaching job i wonder who could take his spot if he's getting the job
I wouldnt be too sad to see him go. Our PP and faceoffs have been terrible for long stretches so
What if we lose Oates?

I like Oates a lot as an assistant coach. I hope he stays, but he certainly deserves a shot at a head coaching job.
Probably just 'call up' one of the assistant coaches from the AHL. Or maybe PDB has a buddy who is in need of a job.

We have Larry Robinson in the role Stevens would play. We need an offensive minder/power play guy if Oates was to leave. If Larry retires/leaves, then Im game for Scotty.

No media source or anything for this but I was told this past Monday that Oates already moved out of the house he had been renting and it was somewhat abrupt. The person who told me this indicated that he had been released by the Devils. Again, no media source, just a neighbor.
