msweet
http://www.newjerseydevils.com/njd/theteam/roster.php Must have just been brought up to help in Philly.... and they should have let Dowd play in the Buffalo game, considering how little Pelley played. thefiestygoat
Pelley looked good in his short stint. I'm looking foward to him and Clarkson fighting for spots on the team next year.

overtime98
Janssen is back for Holwig. Most likely. if Cam does play against the rangers and he does fight Hollweg, Im sure the NHL might look at it as intentional move to set up a fight. and since the NHL does not like the Devils they will fine us. NJDevs4978
If Cam does fight Hollweg it'd be his first fight since before he got hurt. That's why I was concerned we'd never see him again, he'd pretty much been neutered into not fighting since the injury. And in another article it said Dowd was a healthy scratch, so no excuse. I realize Julien wanted to play Pelley because his dad came up from BC to watch him play and I credit him for that much, but could Ras or Rupp have sat a night? Dowd should have played. I was wondering why Jimmy sat esp in Philly.
Jas0nMacIsaac
We won both games, Pelley played good in both so no harm done.
gordienumber9
i don't think it's wise for coaches to call up certain players just because ther family is in town. first of all it shows favortism and i know kindness shouldn't be mistaken for weakness but i could certainly see how it could be in thsi case. i'm sure they're were other reasons he was called up but if that was a deciding factor in his decision, i'm very dissapointed. also i saw clackson play in lowel, he has a lot of spirt and he's fast. i think he'd fit in well in nj. also..YAY CAMMY JAMS!!!! Devils731
If Bergfors is the next checking line winger I would be dissapointed.
Chimaira_Devil_#9
Pelley, Bergfors, Clarkson are possible future replacements for Pando/Madden/Brylin. Pelley, Clarkson yes. Bergfors , hell no. The guy scores, and sets up a tonne of plays. More like Elias than Madden
BlueSkirt
i don't think it's wise for coaches to call up certain players just because their family is in town. I could never believe that Julien would have done so. And Dowd sat on Saturday although it was the 10 year anniversary of the 95 Cup team he was on. Coaches make decisions for the betterment of the team, not the individual. The exception is if the coach feels that helping an individual will help the team. But, no. I would be shocked if I ever saw proof that Pelley played because of his family in attendance.
finominon
Pelley looked good in his short stint. I'm looking foward to him and Clarkson fighting for spots on the team next year. well ive acctually been friends/team mates with pelley most of my career.. he moved up through the leagues very fast... he's one of the greatest hockey players ive played with throughout my career... he scored 250 points in his second year bantam's.... hes they most physical players to come out of b.c. his shot is by far the hardest and quickest ive seen in a while.. besides sakic... our whole home town was exicted to see another player from kitimat to finally play in the nhl.. they brought him up to see what he could do and most def proved a major point with his ability to hit.. i would put money on it that he plays playoffs... NJDevs4978
Well among the 25 articles posted here in the last couple of days I don't remember which one it was in. I should have worded my post better, I don't know for a fact Julien played Pelley because of his dad coming in from BC (Canada) but I sort of assumed that was the only reason that made any sense when I read the thing about his dad and when I heard Dowd was a healthy scratch. SatansDevils
Dowd should have played in the Buffalo game considering he was part of the 1995 team and they were celebrating that team that night. It is just suprising that Dowd has been a healthy scratch. I think he was playing well along with the new comer Pelley who was sent down now. Janssen will be in the Rangers game tomorrow night with Hollweg and now Avery on the Rangers lineup.
