nessus Posted September 26, 2014 Share Posted September 26, 2014 Yeah, a lot of these guys looked rusty tonight. There was nobody that seemed Komisarek-bad though. I did like what I saw from the Ruutu, Josefson, and (sometimes) Brunner line. They didn't do much tonight, but they actually did look like there was some chemistry there. Seems like a line that could get the job done if they had a few games to click. I like seeing a high energy line out there. Still, though, not a single shot on goal from JJ. This really needs to change. Haven't been impressed with any of the tryouts yet. Hopefully Mamashev gets a game. Also, I thought Larsson looked pretty good. Oh well, preseason, and I get the feeling we might see some rough ones in October too as this team gets used to each other. Hopefully not too many though. Yeah, forgot they were playing last night, went down to the cave, turned it on, saw the first period coming to a close with the Devils trailing 3-0, and said, "Ok, guess it's football on TV#1, Mets on TV#2." Once the Mets were losing 3-0 in their game, I switched to the Yankees and checked it out every so often. Glad I got to see Jeter's game-winning hit. Was a great moment for sure.
