Devils Pride 26
Dubinsky was the best Rangers possession forward last year. And it showed in Games 5+6 when the Rangers out shot us with him back. I'll happily see him go.
moustic
Tom Gulitti @TGfireandice RT @TSNBobMcKenzie: Artem Anisimov is the 4th piece in the Rick Nash deal.

Chuck the Duck
I hope one of MDZ or Kreider is that 4th piece. Don't hold your breath on that. If one of these 2 is not the 4th piece, Columbus will officially become the worst run organization in professional hockey (rejoice Islander fans!). Devilsfan118
Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov, Tim Erixon, 1st round pick Hm. If one of these 2 is not the 4th piece, Columbus will officially become the worst run organization in professional hockey (rejoice Islander fans!). Yikes, accurate. Triumph
Good deal for CBJ. Losing Nash sucks, but they picked up 3 solid pieces and a lottery ticket. About the best you can do under the circumstances.
mrthemike
My first reaction here is that the Rags gave up too much for Nash. Edited July 23, 2012 by mrthemike

DJ Eco
Am I missing something? All this standoff and that's the trade Columbus accepts? Maybe I'm just underestimating these players or....??
Daniel
Anisimov, Erixon, Dubinsky and a 1st Decent, but not great deal for the Rangers. They're no worse for wear up front, but a gaping hole still exists in its d-corps. Now that Erixson is gone, there's virtually no organizational depth on defense save for McIllrath, who is hurt and not that great to begin with. At this point, does Wade Redden get called up? They had a hard enough time winning games in the playoffs with four defensemen. Will be very difficult for them to last an entire season with that especially if one of them regresses toward the mean. Neb00rs
Good, so maybe this offseason our biggest rival will get Rick Nash, our 2nd biggest rival will get Shea Weber and we...well, we lose Zach Parise. halfsharkalligatorhalfman
What was the rumored package for Nash at the trade deadline? Krieder was involved then right?

Another Sather heist
Chuck the Duck
Like DP26 said earlier, at least it means Dubinsky is no longer wearing Rags' blue. He always seemed to play well against us. That's the only bright spot I can take away from this as a Devils fan. I think this deal is a steal for the Rags as Anisimov is not that good, Erixon is a completely unknown quantity, and the 1st round pick is likely to be later in that round with a 50/50 chance of panning out into something productive for Columbus. Plus, they get to retain their entire defensive core, can use Kreider to replace Anisimov, and have Nash replacing Dubinsky. They are a better team now than the one we beat in May. Z-Man
It's actually a pretty good haul for CBJ, considering everyone knew Nash wanted out.

Devils Pride 26
I don't see Nash putting up bigger numbers playing 2/3 of the game in his own end. Unless he is a monster on the pp. This really isn't that bad for us.
Triumph
This. I'm not sure how this can be justified as a win for the CBJ. That's just purely wishful thinking. It's not wishful thinking. Nash is on a TERRIBLE contract right now. Dubinsky is the kind of forward every team needs more of. Anisimov isn't overpaid at all (neither is Dubinsky). Then there's Erixon who's an interesting player and a 1st round pick, which is whatever. It's a solid haul for a guy who is on an awful contract until the end of time. Toaster13
I think the Rangers win this trade by keeping Kreider, Stepan and McDonagh. Now the Rags have Nash, the Flyers might get Weber and the Pens might sign Semin. The division will get a little harder to play against once again. halfsharkalligatorhalfman
I think that's a fair price to pay for Nash, but I don't get how it makes the Rangers better. Their system last year clearly did not utilize Gaborik's strengths. Won't the same thing happen to Nash? Rangers should have been shopping for someone like Keith Yandle instead. njd3b1ink
The rangers also get a 3rd rounder and a minor league dman. Columbus is such a joke. Dubinsky and anisimov werent big factors in their first place finish this year. They are a better team now. It would be great if lou would do something cause if philly gets weber then we falling behind the pack for sure.
