ghdi
I wonder if that crosses Koivu off of Anaheim's list with that signing.

adavid
Oh this we can agree. Zubrus should have won the Selke for the way he shut down Elias and Gionta last year. lol! With Def Leppard presenting the award. Upside Down.
devils26
Yeeeeeesh make up yo' mind already. Has Lou tried to get Zajac to re-sign before the arbitration? We can't afford to let a top player like that simply walk after a year.. Lamoriello continuing efforts to try to re-sign Zajac

Colorado Rockies 1976
Elias 3rd best season as a pro points wise.Gionta 2nd best season as a pro points wise. don't let the facts get in the way of the joke though. Much of that production came in the first half though, for all three players. Gio was at a PPG pace after the season's first 28 games or so. Elias' PP performance helped keep his numbers from dipping as noticably, but that line's production dropped off considerably in the second half. I don't really hate or love Zubrus. I've given up on him being any kind of offensive force, which is what I think Lou was hoping he could be at a low cost (I think Lou was hoping for numbers approaching what he did with the Caps)...he's gotten his share of opportunities to play on the Devils' more offensive lines in both his seasons here. I'd love to see him become a bruiser of a 3rd-liner who can excel at dirty-work duty...if he does that and does it better than most, I'll be happy. devilsrule33
Ducks get Koivuhttp://twitter.com/ANAHEIMDUCKS per official ducks twitter lol I think it's pretty cool to have teams breaking their own news to their fans. You saw that a lot at the NFL draft where teams were posting their draft choices on twitter before the commissioner announced them.
Triumph
while koivu would have been good for this year, the devils made three 'good for this year' signings last year in salvador and rolston and pandolfo - they couldn't really afford a fourth. ghdi
how do you guys think will be the 2nd center if zajac leaves? Zubrus Except he's not going anywhere. Arbitration assures that we have him for at least this year. Hopefully Lou gets him long term. Edited July 8, 2009 by ghdi
