Triumph
He had a lot of heart and showed up every night for the Isles which is why it's baffling that they didn't bring him back.Garth Snow is a moron.

mackchi
Nice find by Lou. He will be good as a Devil 4-liner. And we can say goodbye to Rassmus.

Weekes Head
I dont think rivals really. Yeah they did fight multiple times, but you did see at the end of a few fights they gave a good look at each other. They know its what they do and they do it well. Even in one video they foguht a really long fight against each other that was a draw Asham gave im a pat on the butt. I dont tthink they really have a problem with another. stevestevens
I know what you mean by that. What i was meaing is that i doubt there was any hate between them.
Cal914
i like Asham on the 4th line... and hes the type of player you can move if some one gets hurt or sloppy
Devs4LIFE
Asham is a more complete hockey player and his fighting ability is about the same as Cams. Asham is a guy capable of maybe pulling a Bobby Orr hattrick in a good game.
newjerseydevils
Well that doesn't NOT make them rivals. A rival isn't necessarily an enemy (though it can be) -- it's someone competing for the same goal as another. They were both competing to basically be the top dog in the fight, and at the end of the fight, they gave each other the respect they deserved. thelastonealive
You mean a Gordie Howe hat trick?
Weekes Head
Interesting note, Gordie Howe supposedly only completed the Gordie Howe Hat Trick once in his career.-------- So why aren't we debating what Asham's number is going to be? Presumably 45 isn't kosher by Lou, correct?
thelastonealive
It was mentioned in the thread. I made the prediction of 10.

CRASHER
Well to start being given #45 is a "you gotta earn your spot on the big squad" number... so that might be why it's allowed to slide

insanity_gallops
Welp, there ya go. Gotta wonder - with these new sites, are they still under the control of the individual teams as much as before? Could have been someone just at NHL.com sliding Asham onto the roster and giving him his standard number until the Devils could update it.
