Bibby89
That would fill the quota for bringing back an old player. Edited July 5, 2012 by Bibby89

capo
Trading Tallinder is not wise. The guy is money and on a good contract and he's great with the kids which we have a ton of.

MadDog2020
You realize because you didn't say this was a proposal, you probably have half the board on the mad run thinking this happened, right?
Zubie#8
Eh...Josefson has more upside than Halischuk but a Tallinder and Erat swap does not sound bad. He puts up40-60 points a year. EDIT: meant Greene for Erat not Tally Edited July 5, 2012 by Zubie#
Bibby89
If they were to get anyone from Nashville, I'd want Colin Wilson but he's not going to be an option, so I'd say the 2 teams aren't the best of trading partners with the exception of bonding of recent events
Neb00rs
30 is old? old as in "played for us previously."

Bibby89
30 is old? Sorry didn't mean old as in age, meant as in former Devil. sorry, poor choice of words on my part.
Chimaira_Devil_#9
New Jersey receives - Martin Erat and Matt Halischuk Nashville receives - Henrik Tallinder and Jacob Josefson We have even less future forward depth now, we dont want to be give Josefson away. Halischuk is a nice player but i think Josefson will be better.
Beetlebum
Eh...Josefson has more upside than Halischuk but a Tallinder and Erat swap does not sound bad. He puts up40-60 points a year. Devils have center depth Josefson could be dealt in the right situation.
halfsharkalligatorhalfman
Tallinder is the best player in this deal. Josefson is better than Halischuk. I would never do this if I were Lou.

Z-Man
Erat is garbage. Softest player I've ever seen. Disappears easily.
MadDog2020
So far no one has been confused maddog It appears not. My apologies. Regarding the actual proposal, I agree with the majority- wouldn't do it. I'm stating the obvious when I say that I see Edmonton as our best chance of making a deal at this point.
Bibby89
What about a trade with Minnesota? Too soon?
aylbert
So far no one has been confused maddog I was definitely confused, but looked into it more before going ape sh!t. Tallinder is such a good, and underrated d-man here. I thought the playoffs showed his value. Josefson I could see trading... but he has shown great potential, but also proven to be rather unlucky and/or fragile. Take your pick. Chimaira_Devil_#9
You do realize we gain a forward by making this deal. Of less quality than the one we are giving up, making the little depth we have weaker. Also we dont have any depth at center.
Daniel
We should be getting younger. Erat doesn't help there.
