The ice at the UC is deplorable, whoever is in charge of the ice surface should be embarrased.

We are lucky to be ahead after one. Giving up those pps will bite us in the ass unless we stay out of the box.

Just a hunch, we'll get some calls in our favor in the 2nd.

Versteeg definitely dove on that one penalty to White.

I thought there was a delayed penalty called on the Hawks right before Paul scored. Why was it called off after the Devils goal was scored?

Because if a goal is scored on a delayed penalty, the penalty is then called off. That's just how the rules are, and it's been that way for a long time.

If you score on a delayed penalty than the penalty with the least amount of time remaining is wiped out. In this case there was no penalty but the delayed one so the delayed call is wiped out.

That was the strangest and most stressful first period I've seen. I guess they wanted to let the fans know they can still kill penalties and score goals in between. Chicago has obviously been looking at video and are playing to Brodeur's weakness, which is pucks played from behind the net. But Brodeur has been playing very well. I think Salvador may have saved a goal with his face. I hope he's ok.
