  1. I guess once guys get over 1,000 games I kind of look at them somewhat similarly, and an extra 100-200 games or 2-3ish seasons starts to seem a little statistically insignificant to me, at least in comparison to an otherwise ~20yr career. Especially when you factor that most guys' production tends to decline with age, I was thinking/assuming that the next 2yrs and 160 games for Marchand may put him at or slightly above Elias's numbers. Granted, they could very well put him far ahead of Elias too, maybe he ends up with 1200pts in 1200 games played, who knows. I just doubt it
  2. Heh, I was actually looking at Bergeron's stats, not Marchand lol. With that said, the numbers are actually worse. How is Marchand the more productive player, at least for his career? Maybe he is lately, and with the +/-, but Elias has more points in about the same amount of games played...
  3. Several people on the ESPN broadcast tonight talking about Brad marchand as a surefire Hall of Famer. Not sure I necessarily disagree, but if you put him in, you have to put Elias. They have nearly identical stats. Elias actually has the slight edge. 1,294 games, 1,040 pts for Marchand, 1,2040 games 1,025 pts for Elias. 50 less games and only 15 less points. 3 cups for Elias, and played in arguably a slower/less offensive era.
  4. Colonoscopy...root canal.... Vasectomy. Just a few of the things I'd rather have/do than watch a Rags playoff game.
  5. The hell happened to him? And now they have Casey DeSmith? Woof
  6. I don't know how I missed it between yesterday and today, but just now it came up in my Facebook feed of all things, and I had to scroll up to make sure it wasn't some random April fool's thing that I missed weeks ago. Truly incredible. I guess I get why some people are happy, but it really just highlights the delusion that some fans can have. It's also amazing how they didn't waste any time at all. I mean, did they even interview anyone else?
  7. My Stars Cup pick isn't looking good right now. 4 goals on 11 shots.... Wtf Otteinger
  8. Good for PK for standing up for himself and not caving in and touching it. Wonder if he wants to legitimately touch it one day as a coach or GM.
  9. Guy was pretty durable too. Played a long time, mostly very healthy. Could probably teach young guys how to play the game both smart and safe.
  10. I see what you did there. 👌🏻
  11. That's probably the what they're going for.....a waiting list.
  12. I'll be rooting for the Bolts because of where I live. Teams I don't want to see win are the Rags for obvious reasons, any Canadian team because I think it's hilarious that they haven't won in 30 years, nor the Canes and Avs because I hate them for beating us a few times over the years in important situations. Other than that, I just want to see good and entertaining hockey. I suppose Ovi getting a second Cup would be cool, he deserves it. Nashville winning might be cool too, that city would go bananas. I think Dallas has a legitimate shot. They're absolutely stacked, top to bottom.
  13. I think of it a little bit differently. I remember going to games as a kid, not necessarily wearing opposing team gear, but definitely not rooting for the home team, and if I ever got certain giveaways or promo items I always liked it because it helped me become interested in and learn more about other teams and players around the league. Some of that stuff really helped me become the die hard hockey fan I am today. If you're paying to go to the game, and on top of that you show up early enough to be part of the first 10k fans or whatever it is, I see no reason why you shouldn't get to participate and receive the giveaway item.
  14. I don't understand, so people sitting in the club level can't wear Panthers jerseys/colors? I don't agree with the policy and think it's dumb, but I thought a lot of teams were already doing it? Aren't there a bunch of people on this forum who like the idea and complained about the need for a specific section for away fans?
