  1. Bobbleheads have a home. Thanks!
  2. Not sure if anyone would be interested...I have several Lowell Devil bobbleheads I would like to give away to who ever wants them. Mark Fraser, Pierre-Luc Leblond, Jeff Frazee, Matt Corrente, Ben Walter, Scott Clemmensen, Jay Leach, David Clarkson, Rod Pelley, Stephen Gionta. Just send me a message if you are interested.
  3. Thanks for maintaining this thread, feisty. Great job! I enjoyed reading through it during the season.
  4. Congrats L-Devs! Game write up from the website: "Saturday, April 10, 2010 Devils Put Away Pirates, 5-2 Lowell clinches first-ever playoff berth with victory PORTLAND, Maine – The Lowell Devils punched their first-ever trip to the Calder Cup Playoffs by virtue of a 5-2 win over the Portland Pirates on Saturday at the Cumberland County Civic Center. Lowell broke open a 1-1 game with three goals in the middle period including a pair of tallies 53 seconds apart. Nathan Perkovich gave the Devils their second lead of the match with a power play marker at 3:07 as he cut to the front of the net to knock Matt Taormina’s point shot past J.P. Lamoureux. During a delayed penalty less than a minute later, Cory Murphy made it 3-1 whens he got piece of Tim Sestito’s one-timer from the high slot for his fifth goal of the year. Ben Walter then gave the Devils a three-goal cushion at 11:31, sweeping in a rebound after Lamoureux had trouble handling Stephen Gionta’s snapshot from the near circle. The Devils were able to break a scoreless tie at 11:01 of the first with the help of their third shorthanded goal of the season. Matt Halischuk worked past Portland defenseman Marc-Andre Gragnani before shifting the puck to his forehand and tucking his 11th goal of the season inside the right post. Alexander Vasyunov added his 15th of the season at 6:32 of the third, while the Pirates’ Marc-Andre Gragnani completed the scoring with less than five minutes remaining in regulation. Jeff Cowan knotted the score, 1-1, with 26.9 seconds left until the first intermission, setting up camp to the left of McKenna and swatting a loose puck across the goal line. McKenna made 32 saves for his 24th win of the season, matching his AHL-career best. Lamoureux took the loss with 14 saves on 18 shots over two periods of work. Beau Erickson stopped 6-of-7 in the third in his AHL debut."
  5. Here is the story from the website, if anyone is interested. "LOWELL, Mass. – Despite firing a season-high 48 shots on net, the Lowell Devils fell to the Providence Bruins, 4-2, on Friday as they opened a seven-game homestand at the Tsongas Center. Bruins defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk scored twice for his first multi-goal game of the season and also helped Providence end a four-game winless streak against the Devils..." And Game Summary. T-Devils also lost tonight. Brief story from the website. "A Checkered Loss in Charlotte, 4-3 03/19/2010 Charlotte, NC, March 19, 2010 The Checkers took advantage of their ten power play opportunities, including a five-on-three score late in the third period, to defeat Trenton, 4-3, Friday at Time Warner Cable Arena. The Devils never led in their 28th one-goal game of the season, despite recovering from deficits of 1-0 and 3-2. Both times Trenton managed to tie the game, offensive momentum stalled thanks to untimely penalties." Game Summary

Shots even at 11. MOB Lowell has one ineffectual PP early in the period (3:36 interference). Cohen takes a roughing penalty (15:27) going after Parenteau who took liberties with McKenna after the whistle. At the end of the period, Byers took out Vasyunov with a "shoulder to the head" as Vasy skated over the blue line. Hope he is OK. MOB said it was clean but Vasy was caught with his head down. Vasyunov was assisted to the locker room.

Pretty spicy 3rd period - MOB called the "heavyweight bout" between Stoesz and Mirasty. McKenna - well-deserved star #1. Vasyunov star #2.
  10. I would, but I have no audio. Tried the pirate site, got some kind of weird error. Maybe I'll listen to the T-Devils.
  11. OMG. Lowell won the shoot out - Davis with a backhand shot over the blocker side and a Palmieri trickle-in. Nice! Total shots: Bruins 35, Lowell 31 PP: Lowell 0/2, Bruins 1/4 Stars: 1 Davis 2 Knackstedt 3 Hals

Hals missed a penalty shot (He was pulled down from behind by Penner..) 2 - 2 PRO Arniel, (12) (Whitfield, Penner), 13:42 (PP) Stoesz called for GT interference - not sure what happened there - lost the audio. OT: 2 - 2 "A lively OT period." Good pressure by Lowell but not able to get puck past Bruin goalie.
  13. But yours is better! I thought the 2nd Period would never end!
  14. Pre-game: Talking about last night’s loss – Coach MacLean said Devils were lazy in their end. If you score 5 goals, you should win the game. Start: McKenna, Magnan, Murphy, Vasyunov, Walter, Perkovich Scratch: Eckford, Gionta, Mills, Snetsinger, Flynn Lines: Vasyunov, Walter, Perkovich Halischuk, Sestito, Davis Palmieri, Swift, Castonguay Robitaille, Nagy, Stoesz some lines changes 2nd period: Vasyunov, Nagy, Halischuk Robitaille, Walter Perkovich Magnan – Murphy Corrente-Taormina Davison-Cohen PP Swift Walter Perkovich Taormina Corrente Halischuk. Fight: Fletcher/ Stoesz –Fletcher coming after Stoesz after Stoesz pushed him into the boards. Not much of a fight - MOB: fight had “potential but never came to be…” 1st PP – Walter and Perkovich had good rebound chances, but no goal. End of 2nd: Providence 0 - 1 "A sleepy 2nd period to say the least." MOB commenting on the low shot total. Two good chances for Lowell: a Castonguay wrist shot from the right circle - pad save produced a rebound for Palmieri, unable to score. Palmieri also missed a wide open net near the end of the period. Ooops...looks like this topic was posted. Can delete this one.
