Rock
Dainius Zubrus isn't ruling out a return to NJ Devils lineup in Ottawa Tuesday http://www.nj.com/devils/index.ssf/2010/01/dainius_zubrus_isnt_ruling_out.html Zubrus said he will find out Monday when his right knee is examined and he speaks with general manager Lou Lamoriello. "I don't know. We'll see," Zubrus said. "I have to still talk to the doctors and to Lou. "I was hoping for some more practices with the guys, but the schedule doesn't allow me too many. So that's why I'm still waiting."
mouse
He may not be perfect, but that's great news. It solidifies the second line. ZZPop Rolston Zubrus Bergfors Pando Nieds Palmieri (sorry kid, you're not scoring for awhile if I'm right) Pick a rookie McAmmond Zharkov

maxpower
sooo... anyone seen Elias, or is he off to the same leper colony that Clarkson resides in right now? was supposed to be checked out on Friday, yet, not a peep so far. edit: never mind, clicking on the link would help. but that qualifies as barely a peep. "progressing" could mean he remembers that the meat goes inside the bread, and not the other way around... Prucenterrules
Awesome news. He has a big body and is good on draws and in the corners.
nyrsuck26
The sooner the better. I just hope he doesn't re-injure himself.

The concussed way of making a sammich sounds way cooler than the "of sound mind" way of doing it.
ringtwins
This is great news, Zubrusaur sounds pumped and that has always seemed so be the knock on his game. I , as others have also noticed, think he brings a ton to the team and maybe some of that doesnt show on the proverbial scoresheet. Fingers crossed
Devil Dog
This will be very good news if he can come back without any long term issues. Interesting side note: (N)Єverson in todays Post claims that Zubrus will be out till after the Olympic break. How do you have two articles written at the same time about the same person be sooo far off from each other? Does anyone do research anymore? ZeroGravityFat
how can he be out if he practiced with the team twice, obviously he wouldn't be cleared to practice if he were to be out till Olympic break.
njdevil26
I emailed Mark. He's always been good at getting back to me.

Colorado Rockies 1976
He may not be perfect, but that's great news. It solidifies the second line. ZZPop Rolston Zubrus Bergfors Pando Nieds Palmieri (sorry kid, you're not scoring for awhile if I'm right) Pick a rookie McAmmond Zharkov If you're happy about Zubrus coming back because he's got size and occasionally uses it when so inclined, I'm with you. He does NOT solidify the second line...although this is a myth that a lot of fans really want to buy into, he's shown conclusively that he doesn't, and likely won't, supply enough offensive production for a second-liner. If he's the second-line center by default after the trade deadline, the Devils will be in trouble come playoff time.

I'm not saying he's an ideal second liner, but if you don't believe that he solidifies the line by replacing McAmmond, you're crazy.
DaneykoIsGod
I'm not saying he's an ideal second liner, but if you don't believe that he improves the line by replacing McAmmond, you're crazy. Fixed.
Colorado Rockies 1976
Fixed. I agree more with "improves" over "solidifies", though I don't know how well his skill set is going to mesh with guys like Rolston and Bergfors (according to mouse's proposal). It may not be anywhere near the improvement we'd hope for.

SatansDevils
Glad to see Zubrus back in the line up tomorrow night. The Devils has missed him in some games since he has been out. Welcome back Zubrus. Also Pelley skated today on the ice, but don't think he will play tomorrow night.
