Devils Twitter Policy Changed?

Speaking of Twitter, a friend of mine at work wrote this blog post today about the best professional athletes to follow on Twitter. Seemed to be a pretty good list (I was already following most of them myself)...is there anyone you guys follow who you'd rank ahead of the athletes on the list?

It really is a shame that Lou doesn't let the Devils tweet.

NJ is run like old school military and the results are there. I remember reading the article when Lou took over CEO of Nets. He did a complete overhaul running the Nets system like a boot camp. Family pictures were not permitted, individual pictures were taken down. People can complain but this system works.

I also find it odd too. Even the Devils twitter account was trying to get him to 3k followers. It almost seems as soon as he got 3k followers a few hours later...boom gone. I highly doubt Lou got on the phone and told him to shut it down. Dude is 2+ years away from a NHL career. Makes no sense. Also weird no explanation when he posted that from his GF's acct.

I'm going to guess the devils account is part of PR and they probably clash with Lou a lot. Matteau being forced to close his account may have something to do with prospect camp tomorrow.

lol at one of the named athletes being Mike McKenna, the same one who was ripping us for not allowing Twitter when he was in our system.

I know McKenna probably wasn't happy, but did he actually ever publicly voice his displeasure?
