is volchenkov going to be playing or has he not cleared yet?

An article in the Star Ledger this morning says he's targeting Friday as his return,.

Hawks will not have Hossa tonight.

This is from TG:

The 20 healthy players remaining on the Devils’ roster are on the ice for today’s morning skate at United Center.

The Devils wrap up their six-game road trip tonight against the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks.

Here’s the breakdown of the players on the ice. They have not done defense pairs yet.

Forwards: Ilya Kovalchuk-Travis Zajac-Jamie Langenbrunner; Patrik Elias-Jason Arnott-Dainius Zubrus; Rod Pelley-Adam Mair-David Clarkson; Tim Sestito-Brad Mills-Alexander Vasyunov.

Defensemen:Colin White, Henrik Tallinder, Andy Greene. Matt Taormina, Olivier Magnan-Grenier, Tyler Eckford.

Goaltenders: Martin Brodeur, Johan Hedberg.

***

Because of roster problems/injuries, the Blackhawks will dress 10 forwards and eight defensemen for tonight’s game.

HEY!!! Does the NHLPA want to investigate>!!>!@>????

Also... throwing Vasyunov to the fourth line really does nothing for him. He'll be as effective as Leblond would be down there.

Devils turn their season around tonight in Chicago. Time for these players/veterans to wake up and produce. Zajac, Langenbrunner, Kovy, Elias, Arnott and Clarkson have all been MIA so far this season. It is time to step up with Parise gone until February. Season is FAR from over only 13-games in so they have to start putting a string of wins together to get back into the division and the EC. It starts tonight for the Devils. Beat the defending SCC.

LETS GO DEVILS!!!!

Not for nothing they're dressing the max number of players for the game.
