Neb00rs
So I didn't see it mentioned here but Gionta re-signed at 2yrs/AAV of $850,
MadDog2020
Well, you ain't too bright for writing this after Gionta already signed with the Sabres. How's that for a response. Not to be a dick, but I think that went over your head....
CarpathianForest
So according to Wikipedia Radim Vrbata signed with the Devils, then the Heat, Panthers and then the Habs. He's had a hell of a day. Now he plays for the Hip Czechers Edited July 1, 2014 by CarpathianForest
slasher72
Not to be a dick, but I think that went over your head.... Wow, you guys are really cool. You go! Fwoooooosh. CarpathianForest
According to TG: Lamoriello didn't sound certain that Devils can re-sign Ryan Carter. He said he's still trying, but "we'll see."
MadDog2020
The Rangers got worse today. That's a major plus. Edited July 1, 2014 by MadDog2020
CarpathianForest
I didn't realize Ryan Johansen put up so many points. Nabokov signs with TB. One more door closes for Marty.
Bartholomew Hunt
Not really. Gio is clearly the worst of the cbgb line. Bernier didn't produce, but he want the drag that Gio was/is on his linemates. For $600k that signing is acceptable. How do you figure? Gionta created chances and killed penalties. Vernier couldn't even create a spark with his body let alone his stick

Okay if you say so, but you didn't answer the question, what did bernier do last year besides take up space and make the team worse? He was easily the worst player on the team last year. Ever since the boarding call in the finals he's been atrocious.

The worst forward is definitely Gionta. I'd take Bernier over Gionta without a doubt.

He had a worse points per game and goals per game than gionta. And he had a +/- twice as bad as gio. In fact it might have been the worst on the team if I had to guess. So how on earth did he, in any way, play better than gio?
ATLL765
Points aren't everything and Gio shouldn't be on the pk and doesn't get any pp time. Triumph
The idea that Gionta shouldn't be on the PK isn't supported by very much.

Here's the ILWT article I mentioned: http://www.inlouwetrust.com/2014/6/29/5850108/cbgb-line-who-should-be-kept Yeah I'm not going to read an article from someone else when I'm asking you a simple question. Okay points aren't everything, but they're something. Be that as it may, if points aren't worth anything to you, what exactly did bernier do that was beneficial to the team? Did he get in important fights to spark the team? Did he lay the lumber in a big spot to get the team going? Did he always created havoc in front of the net that led to goals? Did he cause turnovers that lead to goals? Did he get in on the forecheck every shift to create a lot of possession time? Or maybe backcheck hard every play to help out the d? Any of these things that you want from a forth liner? Because I watched every game just like everyone else on this thread and I didn't see any of that. Bernier was the biggest waste of space on this team and you've come up with zero valid points to argue that.

Didn't really have the time to fully respond myself while at work, plus it's difficult posting from a phone. You're also putting words in my mouth. I never said Bernier was good or great, just better than Gionta, who, imo, is the worst forward on the team. Less bad doesn't necessarily mean good. At no point in the response did I say that you said bernier was good. I asked you for the 3,498th time what bernier did that was beneficial to the team. I'm going to develop a blood clot in my brain from this conversation so I'm going to stop now. Good talk.
