Like I said, there are 8 of them, and you are correct about the 2002 Maple Leafs:

2010 Canadiens

2009 Hurricanes (yuck)

2003 Wild

2002 Maple Leafs

2002 Avalanche

1994 Maple Leafs

1993 Maple Leafs

1990 Blackhawks

Yeah I wasn't doubting there were eight, I just said I didn't remember most of them. I can see why since most are in the West and some were before I was really a hardcore hockey fan lol. I should have remembered the Habs, for some reason I thought one of their series went six games. But yeah they also won two Game 7's on the road and then got wasted in 5 by the Flyers.

BTW off a tip from someone on TG's blog, I went and looked at the replay of game 5 on gamecenter. At the 7:57 mark of the third period it looks like a woman sitting behind the Devils bench somehow accidently dropped her puck into the Devils' bench area. Deboer picked it up to throw it back but Kovy quickly grabbed the puck out of his hand and threw it onto the ice. The woman then started banging on the glass and calling Kovy rude. Just a little funny interesting tidbit. I wish I could post the video of it.

How do you accidentally drop a puck over a pane of glass that is taller than you? Lol

That's interesting. I did notice there being a woman sitting behind the Devils bench who at one point was making some animated gestures. I thought maybe she had been yelling at DeBoer, but I wasn't sure because I had only caught the tail end of it. I even mentioned it to my wife who was watching the game with me but hadn't been paying attention at the time.

Oh, now that you mention it, I also saw this. I figured she just realized she lived in or around Philadelphia.

Yeah, I'm not sure if it was her puck originally or not - but you can clearly see DeBoer lean down and pick a puck up right in front of her and then Kovy quickly grabs it and Chucks it (no pun intended) onto the ice. The woman behind him can clearly then be seen banging on the glass and saying, "That's rude....that's so rude." And Kovy definitely did whatever he did to provoke her. Maybe what you saw happened before this and she was taunting the bench the whole game or something and Kovy was annoyed. Again, I wish I could post the video but it's gamecenter so...

laugh.gif What a sad epiphany.

Found it ... it seems like DeBoer is trying hard to control his laughter while the woman is fuming, he even casually looks back non-chalantly ... its hilarious.

I remember that, the puck went out of play on the bench and she wanted the puck and she got mad when they ignored her haha

This topic isn't worth regurgitating time after time. Matteau clearly is ignorant on the topic and refuses to open his mind to the possibility of it being correct. Fenwick/CORSI certainly helped predict NJ and LA's rise in the playoffs and probably won me 200 dollars in a hockey pool.

Not ignorant at all. Very aware of the concept. Just because I don't buy it, doesn't mean I am ignorant to the topic. You sound like a soccer fan by saying this. Anytime you a critical of soccer, you get the standard, "You just don't understand the game. It is the most popular sport in the world...yada yada yada." As for LA and NJ, how can you say Fenwick and Corsi explain their success when they have only played 9 and 12 games respectively? The intent is to make predictions over a long period of time. 2 play-off series is certainly not a long period of time.

BUT, what were their fenwick and corsi numbers compared to the teams they beat in the first 2 rounds and then the team which they lost?

The predictions came pre-playoffs.

LA was the best team in the league heading into the playoffs.

NJ is the best team so far in the playoffs (that's still in the playoffs), but again, you can't draw too much from that because the schedules are so unbalanced.

It's a real shame there's a 45% chance we won't see you until July 1, Matteau.

I will take my 55%/45% advantages over other people's wild guesses.

This is a playoff excitement thread.. Not a "over analyze Corsi numbers to a nauseating point" thread lol

******

As for the video of the Philly chick.. BAHAHA love seeing Kovy agitating their inbred fans.. Let's not forget that a Flyer stole the game-winning puck from Chicago, and Pronger stole the game winner from an earlier game in that series

From the Devils Facebook:

Devils Army, keep an eye on the sky. Today 1:00-2:00 P.M. and Sunday from 11:00 A.M. until noon our Devils Army plane will hit the air stretching from the East River to the George Washington Bridge. If you spot it take a photo and share it on Facebook or Twitter.

 Trolling Ranger fans in Manhattan, I love it!
